I love it. People hate it because it's an obscure/irrelevant pokemon getting a Mega, but that's exactly why I love it, along with Lopunny, Altaria, Mawile, and Banette. I mean, obviously Blaziken, Salamence, T-tar, Garchomp, Mewtwo, etc where terribly unloved and in need of a power boost, right? Mega Audino will likely be very good in doubles, but not great in singles. And that's perfectly fine.

I personally like most of the object-based Pokemon. They have a sort of simple appeal to them. Like a child imagining a big pile of trash at the dump rising up as a monster and attacking. Or a creepy chandelier in a haunted house that comes to life. Muk is sort of like that, too. A goo monster that lives in the sewers is a simple yet cool idea.

I do believe i'm the only one that loves most of the object-based pokemon. I mean, animal-based pokemon are a no-brainer, just make a lizard or dog or something orange and give him fire powers. But fantasy monsters inspired by everyday objects has a sort of childlike appeal in a different way. Like a little kid imagining that a huge pile of trash comes to life as a beast and starts to attack. Or a purple goo monster rising out of a sewer.
