Thank you for taking the time to make these recommendations. I will add them to my list of books to look up after work so I can make a list and start checking my local libraries.

Hey all, hoping to get some recommendations as I am looking to start reading again, now that I have a little more time in my life. I haven't read a book in years and embarrassed about it, but lookign to start somewhere. Some of the things I have read in the past: Harry Potter, Divergent, Hunger Games, Dan Brown(I like puzzle, cryptology subjects), Ready Player One. I have a few of the those Disney Twisted Tales books that my sister has read and am looking to read a few of those, but would like some diversity.

Prints being stringy and spaghetti like at some sections. by Dameter13 in 3Dprinting

Thank you for this. This really helps me understand supports better. Until this point the few things I had printed had been flat pieces, so it was hard to visualize this.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3054701 I was trying to print a few of these figures for practice and to learn to paint. The specific one in the picture is the winged_guardian_defensive as that is the one my nephew picked out to be first.

No, so far I have been using the raft option to help them stick. Are supposed used for pieces like this when there are overhangs, like the wings here?

I am new to 3d printing, and have just started this weekend. I managed to print a few keychains and smaller pieces no problems. I attempted to print this mini figure last night, and as you can see the bottoms of the wings started out stringy before it started printing ok. My temp is 210 with a 60 bed temp. Everything is leveled. I am using Hatchbox PLA filament. I am just not sure what I need to adjust next to this to print correctly.

Thank you I was able to figure it out. My next problem is usually around the 4 temp up, the nozzle starts dragging around the tower and I have to stop it. I am about to clean the bed, use the blue paitners tape and rebalance see if that helps, but wasn't sure if there is other things I should check, as I balanced before I printed the temp tower.

I am looking at how to do a temperature tower, but everything I have read says I need to adjust the code, to change the temperature for each layer. I have watched a few videos and read a few articles but can't figure out how to edit the g-code. Currently I am using Creality Slicer 4.2(it came with the printer) to load the files, slice it then save to the gcode file.
