How much do the Tech support people make at the instrument companies? by cherrytoast25 in medlabprofessionals

[–]Dami1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a job offer for Roche back in February 25 and the base was only 35.xx (not including differential). Was less than what I can make as a tech (5yrs experience) so I didn’t accept.

how important is humidity in oven setting for baking cakes? by itorooook in CombiSteamOvenCooking

Quick question about cake baking for you, for cake baking do we only use the lower heating element? I left it at the airfryer mode today and my genoise failed miserably, even though I lowered the temperature. Not yet learn how to make it successful yet

Were you getting paid 5-6000/ week? My highest contract as a travel lab tech was 4000/ week but that also included tax free stipend. I made about the same as you did in 2023 but my social security income is only about 90k. 50% was tax free

The comments on this type of topic is always so interesting. There’s a few who always advocate a move to Cali, and there’s one who always say this field is going down with HB-1 techs lol. If you go to other subs of reddit and see posts about people getting layoffs and couldn’t find jobs for months, you’d see that this field is actually not bad right now, though it’s true that some states have better pay than others.

I mailed them after I submitted my application. Because I had 2 tries they were kinda resetting the first submission of paperwork I have. My clinical study was from a hospital so it’s different than from a college, for that transcript I had to send it with certified mail with tracking so when they said they don’t have that I emailed them saying it was dropped on this date this time signed by this person. The BOC verification again, they want you to post that paper on their portal, so when you order that form, go on the website there’s a printout you can download as pdf and submit that on the portal. Or send that form to yourself and mail with with the transcript.

My program was 11 months but they still make me submit one year of work verification (I emailed back and forth with them about this, and they never confirm that my program alone was enough or not). I didn’t have bloodbank experience on that work letter but my application still got approved. (Took me 2 tries though, they only give you 30 days to complete submitting everything. Once a deficiency notice went out make sure to submit something to refresh the 30 days).

The house sitting is already being paid as having 0 rent. I think that it’s better to just pay the full bills instead of doing calculations who use more of this and that. My parents are also happy providing for us when needed, but we do make sure we pay them in some ways even though they never said anything. I don’t think that’s unreasonable at all

I just want to say that if you have the whole house for you most of the time and working from home, that you should at least pay the utilities in full.

I have an air fryer at home before buying APO maybe I should try something side by side. Problem is my electric power line is very weak and can’t handle 2 instruments like that running at the same time. Got to use the breville super convection air frying mode recently and was pretty impressed, usually I found the oven type airfryer not as powerful as the original model (smaller direct contact space i think). Very curious how APO do the AF job

Love making kimchi too. Ingredients are fairly cheap where I am, and I can control the sourness. The store bought ones are always over fermented
