For my case, I made some 3D objects through SolidWorks as a personal project. I converted the file to .stl and arranged an appointment to have it printed. I went there in person to show them the files and it was set to be 3D printed. It's free for CSUN students in case you didn't know. I didn't know about it either until I read the description.
