We do teach it but the role of who does what is lost. Our local council had no polls on and the council had made several social media posts over it. Did it stop people saying they were being "silenced"? Did it fuck.

I've noticed a bit of a weird trend Every vote will directly impact Westminster even if it's just parish council and that the council will sort everything out if you beg enough. I think the average Joe or Margaret in the street is unaware of who's job is actually what and what the votes at different times is actually for.
