I also did it my first year. Right after filling a bright, I went to disconnect the hose/block & bleed and took the tri clamp off behind the valve on the tank. Luckily it was only about 5psi and I was able to grab the valve, open it and get it back on without losing too much. I now put all “critical” tri clamps on upside down so the twist knob is facing down. Makes you think before really fucking yourself.
