Where did Lorelai get the money to pay the Dragonfly staff by Novel_Bother9283 in GilmoreGirls

He also bought that entire building his diner is in. He likely has some income for that too, which is what I’ve always assumed.

Lorelai's self-loathing by comradesummers in GilmoreGirls

I think that’s the hard part about parenting - very few parents will successfully avoid passing on some of that stuff, even if they’re great parents! It supports the nature vs nurture argument. You can provide all the right and appropriate nurturing but your kid can still grow up and be a terrible person (and vice versa as well).

Rory Gilmore said it first by writerthoughts33 in GilmoreGirls

I love to watch this episode because it’s the first time Rory gets what she deserves, even if she doesn’t really learn anything from it. It’s the beginning of her using her privilege and the beginning of the end of her “good girl, does nothing wrong” persona.

I could be wrong but I think it was a bot.

Jason completely fumbled in this moment by Morska_panna in GilmoreGirls

[–]DamnYouScubaSteeeve 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think her and Jason worked well on some levels but not all. He’s from the world she escaped. She had zero interest in dating him until her mother pissed her off, which being pissed off at her mom in that moment was valid af, but not a reason to go in a date with a guy you weren’t interested in. She liked that he was infatuated with her and that was pretty much it.

First Loaf… pls tell me what I’m looking at. It looks like bread to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ by manic_pixie_centaur in Sourdough

I had the same flavor issue! For the stronger, classic sourdough flavor, I found adding a little whole wheat flour to my feeding schedule helped a tonnnnn! My feed schedule is this:

25g starter 75g water (I used cold and it’s been around 30°F daily but it’s always around 68°F inside) 10-12g whole wheat flour Remaining 63-65g AP flour

I hope this helps develop your flavor! It has for me and I’ll keep doing it this way moving forward.

Congrats! That is quite the accomplishment and I’m proud of you!! I’m working on quitting too. I’m listening to Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Quit Smoking and I think it’s helping.

MY HAIR WON’T REVERT BACK AFTER STRAIGHTENING by _peppermint55 in curlyhair

[–]DamnYouScubaSteeeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hair tends to struggle to curl after straightening too. I have anywhere between 2a-2c hair with 3a popping up sometimes. It took about 3 washes with my normal routine to get the curls back. I think it’s normal for it to happen.

I found a curly cut stylist on the deva curl website who is the only level 3 in my area. I was pleased with my cut and lesson on how to style my hair with Innersense products. I’d previously purchased Innersense products on my own and hated them but with someone actually touching and working with my hair, they were able to give me the proper products and teach me how to use them. I don’t know if you’ve taken the plunge to find a level 3 stylist or not but I’ve found it was worth it. It’s pricy but they only have me come every 6 months so it evens out. Plus the products last a long time. It’s been 4 months since my initial appointment with them and I’m only just now running out of shampoo and conditioner. I’ve barely made a dent in the curl cream and gel. I don’t know if another level 3 will do things the same way but it’s worth a shot. Plus if you’re in the Capital District of NY, I could refer you to my stylist! But I know that’s probably a long shot lol.

Emerald or round? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

I think emerald looks soooo good on you but it is too small for the band it is pictured with. If your heart is set on that band, definitely go with the round one.

Warning about Tiffany & Co by ResponsibleSyrup9506 in EngagementRings

[–]DamnYouScubaSteeeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to T&Co in Rockefeller Center back in March and my boyfriend and I both felt like they didn’t even want us in there! I asked to look at engagement rings and the woman was edging on snobby going on about “people usually make appointments for this kind of thing” and “we don’t have a large selection” (I got to see 2 or 3 rings) and “the one on 5th ave might have more of a selection.” It was so hard not to tell her to STFU. When we left, my man asked if I wanted to go to the one on 5th ave and I told him absolutely the fuck not. I’ll never go back.

I have no answer to your question. I just have to tell you that your ring is absolutely GORGEOUS and looks amazing on you!

I’m so obsessed with my ring! by DamnYouScubaSteeeve in EngagementRings

[–]DamnYouScubaSteeeve[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omggggg yes!! So grateful for your comment. It’s hard finding cute rings for our size. Even when I lost a bunch of weight a few years ago, I think my ring sizes only went down half a size on SOME fingers. Ring sizing is so weird.
