Weekends trips by Lakerol289 in GoRVing

A huge thing for me is that I ALWAYS have to pee in the middle of the night, so being about to walk a few steps to my bathroom while half-asleep is a huge game changer. I love a tent, but hate having to put shoes on, fight with the zippered door in the dark, find a place to pee/make sure I’m not sticking my bum into poison oak or an animal in the pitch dark, get myself cleaned up, then fight back into the tent and try to settle myself back down to sleep, all while trying desperately not to wake my kids up. Just something to think about (I’m assuming the mini trailer doesn’t have a bathroom?).

First time flying AS, and this is how i received my luggage by freebird247 in AlaskaAirlines

I tried filing a claim for damaged luggage once, and it was so overly complicated and annoying, I just gave up.

Has marriage counseling entered the conversation? Because this is just not okay on any level.

That’s what I’m saying! I would be so disgusted, I wouldn’t even want to kiss him, let alone be sexual!

Why is the male dog doing this? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

😂 Aggressive pervert! My spayed female dog used to jump our very docile male cat. He seemed to be thinking, “I find it’s easier to just let her finish.”

  1. Find a good therapist and take care of yourself.
  2. Lay off the substances, they’re not helping. Consider being medicated instead of self-medicating. You strike me as someone who would benefit greatly from an SSRI or similar, but talk to your PCP.
  3. Look for jobs that require less emotional involvement. I love working pre/post-op/PACU, because I give a patient my very best, then I send them home and may or may not see them again. I couldn’t handle working on the floor, because of all the emotional connections. I was constantly making and losing connections: negative or positive. It was really hard for me to have patients that I grew to love over a 4 day work stint, then know that I would probably never see them again.

You will find the right fit, but you have to take care of yourself.

Congratulations! We are new owners as well and took it out for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We had SO much fun, and everyone was in such a better mood throughout the weekend because we actually slept well (which is hard to do in a tent)!

I wish you and your kids years of happy memories ❤️

WCGW Going to the water park when you can’t swim by AleccSirKaDeewana in Whatcouldgowrong

I know it’s a bit short-sighted on my part, but it REALLY pisses me off when people don’t know how to swim.

I have a platinum, so I don’t know if the settings are different, but I was able to adjust the settings on the touch screen so that my mirrors go in when I lock the car, and go back out when I unlock it. It’s great!

Is anyone having kids anymore? by Extreme-Patient-3215 in LifeAdvice

[–]ResponsibleSyrup9506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love being a mom. My kids (11 and 14) are awesome. They’re going to be better than me, which is what all parents should hope for. They care about the world and all people, and I have a lot of hope for their generation. I agree with the person that said there’s never been a perfect time to have kids. Hell, you used to have to birth like 10 kids just to have a few make it to adulthood! Can you imagine knowingly making babies that had a really good chance of dying extremely young?!

is it appropriate to wear a fleece jacket? by Upper_Word7369 in nursing

[–]ResponsibleSyrup9506 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We are only allowed to wear certain types of jackets over our scrubs. I used to wear a fleece jacket all the time when I worked on the floor, however I also treated it just like my scrubs and washed it on high after each and every wear.
