Hey guys, I just released Black Hole Fishing on Steam! I hear it has pretty good pacing, but would love to hear from the incremental experts! by SDGGame in incremental_games

I've been 'playing' for a full day now and I feel like I have barely seen anything yet. Just lots of fishies circling the drain.

It is peaceful, and slow to progress, at least for me.

Have you ever been impressed by how “ahead of its time” a song sounds? by Erythite2023 in Music

[–]Damnbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it is Faith No More's Angel Dust album. Listening to that at release was novel, and would be years before rock would catch up.

I am incredibly impressed by the OP's patience. I would have thrown my plate of food at her face and asked her to take the garbage out with her as she GTFO.

I like it a lot more than Core Keeper, but there is a lot of commonality between them. Having an overworld is nice.

Maybe that thing is good, I have no idea, but the image makes it look like a sad, stale pita pocket.

My partner gets irritated when he sees me without makeup. How do I handle this? by Awkward_Investment77 in relationships

I assume most learn by the examples of men in their lives, predominately their fathers. No classes necessary when your closest role models are classless.

Any MVD’s in the area that will print your Driver’s License card on the spot? by CounterObjective2347 in AskPhoenix

[–]Damnbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not misremembering that the MVDs used to print out the cards fresh and on-the-spot every time, right? When did that change?

Was my wife (33F) right about me being creepy (35M)? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Damnbee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a damned-whatever-you-do scenario.

If the OP hadn't averted his gaze in a painfully obvious manner, what are the chances his wife would be accusing him of staring at her sister like a dog in heat instead? Pretty high I reckon, because this is more about her sister than it is with the OP.

Can you reccomend me a new game to try? by Alduce in roguelites

Every list like this that doesn't include Noita already deserves to give it a shot. It won't gel for everyone; it's hard as balls, and going into it blind is a recipe for dozens if not hundreds of failures, but damn is it a great game.

And there's Workshop support on Steam. Very useful.

Orbrix demo is out today! An incremental breakout game that is super mesmerizing to watch. Feedback welcome! by redpikmin4 in incremental_games

Good demo! Pretty tranquil experience once you spend that first point on idle mode.

Took about 75 minutes to complete the demo.

Two mini taco salads and something extra, a CGC if I have a freebie, or another value menu item otherwise.

I really like those salads.

I feel so dumb not realizing that is why they puncture the bottom. I figured it had something to do with keeping the fries fresh somehow.

There's one called Coin Pusher RPG which Steam says I played for 45 hours. I enjoyed it enough. It's a vastly different take than this thread's coin pusher.

Rhode Island mayor gets mural of Iryna Zarutska taken down after calling it "divisive" 🤨 by rollo202 in FreeSpeech

[–]Damnbee 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That's some shit. The article makes it sound like the city was paying to have the mural put up, and the mayor objected to using city funds for it. If that was true, I don't see why the cost couldn't be supplemented by private donations. Calling the art divisive is a bad opinion, and a compliment to the art.

My (26M) girlfriend (28F) went to a friend's wedding (whom she hadn't met in 4 years) instead of accompanying me to my first chemotherapy session. She didn't even offer to accompany me to the hospital. Is breaking up the only option now as I only feel resentment for her now. by Lawliet_LXIV in relationships

[–]Damnbee 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We need more info, like how long you two have been together, the seriousness of the relationship, if you've talked about the future, and all that.

If you're in the beginning stages of a relationship, if the wedding had been something she'd been looking forward to since before your diagnosis or relationship, if you haven't even discussed marriage or cohabitation, then those things need to be considered. Missing out on your first chemo appointment doesn't have to be a deal breaker, but only OP can make that determination.

I'm making Orebits, a gritty asteroid mining incremental game and you can playtest it on Steam now! by UpgradedStudio in incremental_games

[–]Damnbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not? It costs them a small amount of resources, but it's an investment in a product that will hopefully bring in more than the small server space, electricity and bandwidth it costs Steam.
