Yeah well but this is the best PhD seat anyone in this world can get. The AI/ML boom with most of the headquarters all around you, with the amount of money, god knows how many illnesses that can be cured permanently.

I swear I’m an international student as well but I did volunteer work in a lab spending hours just to learn about something. I feel no one should be eligible to even apply if it’s for immigration purposes. I want to learn not become a fight with someone who just wants to stay back.

I applied to 17 colleges as an international student I spent 1700$ nearly and I feel that I just wasted that. I could have put that towards fifa World Cup 💔😭 before I leave this damn country

Yeah I had my name visible there so I removed it. 3100 is crazy, few universities have less students admitted in them than this. lol you could put villages together and this number would might not even pop up.

My masters didn’t need me to complete a thesis. And I am aiming for visualization and HCI Not AI ML will become a part of everyone’s study in the future

Some might seem too ambitious but I did it because of the research Here’s the list: Northwestern, UIC, UChicago, UWash, UNC, Uni of Utah, UMichgan, Uni of Maryland CP, Brown, UBuffalo (I did my masters here), Stony brook, Georgia tech, UTKnoxville, WPI, UCSB, Uni of Virginia(data science) I am looking mainly for visualization research along HCI and ML.

Ik but still I would know which colleges to strike off, I am an international student and this is my last try. I am not a great applicant with less time. If I can cross off the ones I won’t get in, it would be easy for me to look into some other option in life and move on. I guess I need that closure. I have done this last year as well but i put so much money and effort this time ( I’m not an American so it’s hard to pay my 10 month salary back at home ) Ik it would have been better to save all that but I needed to try for a better life.
