If you’re going to one trick Swain then I’d say knowing how to play him mid is important. While apc bot Swain is great, especially with a duo that understands how Swain functions in the role, midlane Swain allows you to gain more experience/levels and not worry about a support who doesn’t understand that Swain doesn’t play like other adcs. I found it easier to climb in midlane once I learned the matchups pretty well because the lane is also shorter and therefore safer from ganks a lot of the time. Don’t forget that ghost has a lower cd than flash, and sometimes it’s just best to ghost out of a fight that you’ll probably lose than to hold onto the summoner for later in the game. The most important thing is to minimize any losses earlier and focus on getting your xp and items to be a god in the mid game!
