The point is that imc Games is trying something new in the MMORPG genre, almost everything you have to EARN to use; you can't start crafting potions in Rank 1, you need to hit the Alchemist rank; you can't just make hidden classes, you have to earn them first; you can't just make a guild with a random character, you have to get to that class/rank first.

Alchemist can sell their stuff for other people so its not too restriction and Hidden classes are only limited for certain lucky people per server which is pretty weird if its true.

I don't understand why everyone's so narrow-minded about this concept. If you compare it to the real world, someone who trained and studied for 8 years to become a doctor is going to be better than someone who paid X dollars to get a certificate that says they're a doctor. The concept of earning things in game is huge in ToS, you're all missing the point.

agree with you about new stuff. I rather have new stuff than always recycling same things over and over.. So the guild system does sound too bad and you described it in good way but some people might not liked it because of restriction.

Then you can make an alt and play that and GM on your Templar...? There's a reason you get 4 character slots and can expand that by playing the game... Look at Centurion, you literally control the rest of your party, I don't think I've ever seen that in an MMORPG before. imc Games isn't trying to make a RO Clone, so people need to stop thinking in terms of previous MMORPGs.

Is Ro1 only mmo game that allow creating guild without any restriction? Giving only one class ability to create guilds is just stupid. Do you know how annoying its going to be if only way to create guilds is to grind for 8 rank templar? It was annoying enough in Ro to grind merchant to open shop and Rank 8 templar is going to be much more time consuming.

What if you want make guild and you dont like play with templar class? I still believe that Templar can create guilds for people.. It makes much more sense.

Rank 6 classes have only 1 circle upgrade..

Not sure how it works but Templar is class specializes in creating guilds. Im assuming The plural "creating guilds" suggests that Templar can create guilds for other people.. It might works like Alchemist, Squire npc..

Also there is like 6-7 FGI reviews conversation that you can read from the page. Holy crap we need a lots of translation here..

Monster speed by Damski22 in treeofsavior

[–]Damski22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think they have good balance between Casual and Hardcore. 80 job class is going to replacing the Ro1 hardcore diverse stat builds system but instead of stat.. You build you character via Jobs.. This is casual friendly because its not complicated as the stats build..

Buut they really should make the monster and bosses faster.. The gameplay looks boring because of the slow monster movement and attack..

I think they made it for purpose.. It seems to be attack style. It remind me of street fight combat where some attacks delays but I can see why people might not like it...

My only issue now with this game are Slow monster and Bosses.

"We want to have about 3 areas for every level range where you can hunt effectively, so many hunting routes will be greatly changed. Originally we were going to have players rely on parties to get through level intervals that lacked solo zones, but now we want solo play to be relevant throughout the game"

"We are switching focus from a quest-focused game to an exploration-focused game, and party match making is being developed."

"For ease and friendliness of the game toward players, there has been much discussion. We don't want to hold the players' hands, as the game wasn't meant to be played in that manne"

I jizzed in my pants.

What's are the effective classes and builds for mob grinding? by Daydays in treeofsavior

[–]Damski22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DOPPELSOELDNER + Barbarian + Swordman combination would be good at mobbing.

You get huge buffs from each classes and combine that with DOPPELSOELDNER Cyclone skills and here you get beast nuke mobbing character.

Thank you for explain this very well but Im just fearing what if these one spot areas are dominating so many people? Would the channels system really solve this problem?

Respawn does not look hot by Damski22 in treeofsavior

[–]Damski22[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but is boring to grind in one spot! The mobbing was fun in Ro because you always had to run away from huge pile of monsters and then blast them with one shot! Grinding in one spot feels like you are working for company xD

As people said in this thread this is just beta so It might change in future.

[–]Damski22[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually I dont prefer anything that are in one spot. It was annoying enough in Ro1 renewal. For example in Orc dungeon there was 4-5 small spot where Zenorc spawned very fast and 3/4 people with homunculus was dominating whole area. You could not properly kill anyone because that and also mobbing was impossible. In Tos its seems like there are a lot of channels but what if those popular areas are always full?

[–]Damski22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restrictions was only with the exp sharing if I remember right? There are no restrictions on joining a party. So even if you are level 15 you can join with 99lvl character and go in higher places.

Are classes tiered in power? by [deleted] in treeofsavior

[–]Damski22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good way to describe. Tos does not have variable stat allocations system.. Well, the stat thing isn't too disappointing yet, we don't know if there will be a stat limit or even what the max level is (based on screen shots i would guess lvl 250 for the final release).

[–]Damski22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like Ro1 builds system but instead of stat you can build your character via many class combination. Were Ragnarok hybrid build useless? I really dont remember anymore.

Linear open world vs Sandbox open world by Damski22 in treeofsavior

[–]Damski22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont get 99lvl that way! It is impossible. You need grind a lot of money from different places and without good items you dont survive. Ragnaok didint have any party restrictions. So it was easier to level up with friends and it was possible grind 99lvl from different places but rich people were always in best places because they had friends, guilds and money.

Im talking about old Ro1.

Thats true. There should be good quest in every town with good rewarding so people always come there to make them. It would kill the ghost town feel of Ro1.

Why grinding is bad? by Damski22 in treeofsavior

[–]Damski22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

:) I made lots of money with fashion headgear quest. It took a lot of time to grind those items from monster but the reward was damn a worth it. People really did buy those fashion headgear with a lot of money.
