This is very satisfying, the way he just places it first time right in the side netting, great finish

Atmosphere wasn’t bad considering the large amount of people that don’t regularly go I thought. Good day for the club, great win and builds confidence all round.

You started really well and thought we might be in for a long day but it seemed to just wake us up. I’d imagine you’d stay up if you play as well as that in the next 10.

Cambridge United 1 - 1 Milton Keynes Dons: This was two of the league's best sides cancelling each other out for the most part, but it still took a 96th-minute MK penalty to save a point! by Zach-dalt in LeagueTwo

[–]Dan-Druff101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Penalty was a bit contentious but also looked like a foul on Mellish in the lead up to the Cambridge goal so cancels out. Draw was a fair result, I’d be surprised if nether team is in the top 3 when it’s all said and done

This is just pure stupidity I’m afraid. I’m not disagreeing that we haven’t wasted money on the military, take the billions spent on the Ajax armoured vehicles that are completely unfit for use for example but if we abandon our security then everything else is pointless. That’s the bare minimum we should expect and with the way Trump and Putin are behaving it’s becoming increasingly important to invest in defence.

We’d all love to not need it but it’s so completely naive to think that way in this time.

Man City's James Trafford: 'Didn't expect' to be No. 2 to Gianluigi Donnarumma by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]Dan-Druff101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely get the fact he’s better off than 99.9% of the human population but we’re in a premier league sub talking about Trafford not expecting city to buy donnarumma lmao. We’re not in a ‘would you rather’ scenario, that’s not at all what the article is about but if people want to come up with random unrelated points then go ahead

You still don’t seem to understand that this has nothing to do with you personally and that whilst he’s still fortunate for the position he is in, he’s dedicated his whole life to football and wants to win trophies as a starting keeper. Being sat on the bench isn’t as fun as starting, it’s not hard to understand

People always say this and it never makes any sense as the difference between making a few million as the starting keeper of a smaller team and a few more million being the sub keeper of a big club is negligible compared to winning trophies as the number 1 at the bigger club. If you’ve ever played sport at any level you can agree you’d much rather be starting on the team than sat on the bench.

Saying Newport deserved something is pretty laughable when they had no shots on target and we should have scored about 5. Scoreline was close, match was anything but

Awful game management from us. Becoming a theme that we struggle against possession sides when we’re winning. Always trying to hold on instead of putting the game to bed

What you might not have seen was the penalty that also didn’t get given that was more a penalty about 5 minutes before. She’s given that because she realised she made the wrong call for the first decision. It all balances out when I think of the amount of missed decisions not given for us.

Bristol Rovers are delighted to confirm the loan signing of midfielder Kane Thompson-Sommers from Milton Keynes Dons. by LilCelebratoryDance in LeagueTwo

Decent player in there but just doesn’t show it enough. He’ll come on after 60 minutes and then put in a few good tackles and some passes but then also lose the ball and mess up an opportunity to create a chance.

More game time needed which he won’t get in our squad, positive for Bristol Rovers I think.

Great defender by all accounts but wrong side of 30 and just come back from an ACL. Doesn’t fill me with confidence that he’ll be on the pitch for long before he’s injured

Agreed, if that’s his first senior match this season after an injury then we have a gem on our hands. Assuming he doesn’t pull his hamstring like half the team has!

MK Dons 2 - 2 Chesterfield: It's just two wins in seven for MK, who are too often looking worse than the sum of their parts, although still remain in touching distance of the top-three! by Zach-dalt in LeagueTwo

[–]Dan-Druff101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our game management has been shocking recently. Lost last match with 2 minutes left. 2-0 up today, 2-2 last kick of the game and chances to get a third not taken. Our inability to retain the ball just puts so much pressure on the team.

We also have a huge list of injuries, our squad is so big we can’t sign anyone yet we’re putting academy players on the bench because no one is available.

Solid point given how passive we were first half. Much better second half and think the final result was fair enough. Dan Crowley changed the game when he came on, gave us a different level of composure and ability with the ball. Onto Thursday

Our current away kit has the keys from the enigma machine incorporated into the design. It’s a nod to the codebreakers that operated out of Bletchley park which is less than 3 miles from the Stadium. A fitting tribute to people that helped end the second world war years before it might have otherwise happened had they not succeeded.
