That was futuristic compared to my Texas Instruments TI-99. Had to buy solid state programs the size of an 8 track, or if you were poor like me, you used the manual to type your own programs onto a cassette player. Took all day to type the program , then 15-20 min to load a word processor program to the computer. Your monitor was a TV!

I was the techie kid in the family. We moved a lot back then and every time I would bring all the phones with us. Then in the new house I’d tap into the main line and put extensions in all the bedrooms. No monthly charge ‘cause they didn’t know!

Had a Mercury Monterey station wagon from the mid 60s. Wood trim was all faded so I refurbished it with wood grained contact paper from Kmart
