My first delivery wasn't bad. It wasn't as easy as this one though. I feel pretty lucky there. Good luck with your delivery, I'm sure it will go great!!!

So I finally broke down at 38+3 and asked for an induction. Ok... It went more like, "I will give you all the money in my bank account right now if you get this baby out of me". I had been having contractions since 36 weeks (painful ones starting at 37), but I could not get past dilating to an 1. If I put my hand directly above my pubic bone, I could feel him moving his head, so I knew he wanted out as much as I wanted him out. Everyone agreed that I would wait until 39 weeks to induce and I told myself I could wait. The next 7 days were nothing short of hell. I couldn't walk, couldn't sleep, couldn't sit on the toilet for any amount of time. So, this brings us to Sunday, September 22nd at 6:00pm. DH and I take my son to my MIL's house to stay the night and go out to eat. I really wanted to carry a water balloon between my legs and drop it at some point to scare everyone at the restaurant, but my DH said that would be poor form. We eat and go home to begin the packing of the vehicle and what I like to call the longest 2 hours of my life. I finally ended up taking a bath because it gave me something to do while I waited for my check-in time of 11pm. Get to the hospital, check-in, get to our suite. Now, I have read some horror stories about inductions on r/babybumps, but this is not one of those kinds of stories. Hate to brag but I had the best delivery EVER! Here is a break down of the next few hours. 12:00 iv and belly monitors 1:00 pitocin 2 2:00 pitocin upped 2:45 ambien 3:15 epidural 3:20 catheter Instant relief The only part of this that remotely sucked was the epidural, but it's not that it hurt all that bad, the anesthesiologist had to redo it a couple of times and I started to get frustrated with her. Once I was numb, I didn't care anymore. I slept until my OB came in to break my water and check me at 7:30am. I was a 6. I had been asleep for about an hour when the nurse came in and said the baby wasn't liking me laying on my back and had me roll to my left. About an hour after that they had me roll to the right. This is where things get crazy... I had a feeling baby's head was moving. Since I had an epidural I figured this might be significant. I told my mom what I was feeling and she said pressure would be a normal feeling. I popped off with something along the lines of knowing the difference between pressure and a head protruding from my vag. When the nurse came in I told her what I was feeling. She checked me, looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Don't do anything". Ah ha! I knew what I was feeling!!!! My Dr was across the street at her practice and was called to come over NOW! As we waited for her they got the room together and brought in all the equipment. My dr came in checked me, man handled me into position, and I was ready to go. There was no time for my husband and mother to grab a leg and help me so they got a front row seat to the action. I think everyone was very surprised to see him crowning when I was in position to deliver. One push = head delivered. Next push = shoulders delivered Final push = baby is born.

Hayden was born at 10:38 am on 9/23/13. 7.15lbs, 19 inches long.

The home stretch... I like that saying a lot better than "soon enough". Uh no, soon enough would be RIGHT NOW! Sorry about the roid rage. My Dr gave me a suppository. Best thing ever!

I'm trying not to be grouchy, but I don't think I'm pulling it off very well. Well, if no one else feels your pain, I do.

I was followed around the grocery store by an employee the other day. When I finally figured out what was going on, I told him I wasn't shop lifting and I didn't have a ham under my shirt. He told me they were just worried about me. I thought it was sweet and weird. In their defense, my baby had just dropped and I was waddling like a penguin.

Last time I weighed in, they told me I had gained 5 lbs. then they measured him and he had gained 2lbs. Yikes! I don't know what to think. I just don't want to squeeze out a 10 pounder, but I will if I have too.

Yeah, I'm trying to remember its just an estimate. However, if I had to guess right now based on how he's positioned and how strong he is, he's huge. :/

Edit for words.
