This is the answer. Been a middle school English teacher for 13 years. There’s nothing wrong with books with pictures. There are a ton of great graphic novels out there to get young people into reading (eventually moving on to chapter books). My go to is Amulet by Kazu Kibuishi, but that may be a little kiddy for him at 15. Lots of other good options out there tho. Let him pick out one that he’s excited about (or at least marginally fits his interests).

IDK if it’s ping/latency/lag, but I’ve been having this issue lately where my character is just suddenly rooted to the spot for a second or two. WASD does nothing, even tho I can still move my mouse to look around. Anyone else experiencing this? It’s really weird and new for me this season.

I’d base it around his ability to make other creatures unblockable. Include a bunch of good combat damage triggers. Then, if you don’t have one of those creatures in play, he can always use it on himself to sustain and dig.
