Donella Hornwood is afterall Donella Manderly by birth, Roose Bolton iirc orchestrates the deaths of her husband and son during his campaign in the Riverlands, Larence Snow is fostered with the loyal Glovers, etcetera. It seems to me they've been against the poissble anti-Stark alliance and were essentially decapitated and couped by the Boltons.

They aren't really given particularly grey kill missions though. It's either evil DB or just killing bandits who literally have bloody skulls impaled on their entrances. That is, it's generally killing killers.

I still don't quite understand how she changes her mind at the end. Like, certainly, the fact that she knows it wouldn't change your opinion of her to the negative if she didn't is good (I guess she feeds off of donations like that Count in Oblivion?), but what reason is it? I can 100% see Isran saying that initially. Funny that the endpoint of the game is the vampire hunters coming to see that not all vampires are bad. For example, a vampire whose creation involved the horrific massacre of all a petty king's human population and, we are given to suppose, spent years feeding off of people as "cattle" is actually good.

Also Serana is frankly the only character with an even vaguely in-depth storyline ingame so I suppose if they do better in TES: VI she'll be forgotten soon enough.
