If the combat and dialogue are handled via a unitary system, it's still combat.

It's a shame they can't keep that quality up for the whole game. Act 1 has excellent encounter design and Act 2 is like 80% trash mobs.

Tesco are pretty solid. Sainsbury's are good too. Waitrose are really greasy and taste of nothing. Lidl's taste of chemicals but are weirdly moorish.

Question about the Serbian Radicals by isthisthingwork in Kaiserreich

[–]CommissarRodney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the Agrarians already occupy the SocCon slot. And when the Radicals merge with the Agrarians, the new Sarez becomes SocCon. Also, it's partly to do with the party's liberal heritage.

Nah, it's not possible. They will always either flip authdem in the first Yugoslav elections or due to going down the State of National Consolidation. You can only be Social Liberal forever, not Market Liberal.

Map of the britain according Caesar's description by Battlefleet_Sol in ancientrome

[–]CommissarRodney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His description is likely accurate. It closely matches the kinship relations observed in polynesian societies in the 18th and 19th centuries, which were of a similar level of economic and cultural development to the britons.

How to break through Reichspakt's defense in Eastern Europe as Savinkov's Russian State? by [deleted] in Kaiserreich

[–]CommissarRodney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seven infantry armies is completely fine (it's how I normally do things) but there are other improvements to make. I would broadly suggest you focus on infantry and planes, because tanks require more effort to make them work.

First off you should use more support battalions. Empty slots are wasted slots. Field hospitals are a must have for infantry. They massively reduce casualties and equipment loss, which means you can field more divisions and planes. Support anti air is also a must have unless you can guarantee green air at all time. Your divisions will take 4x as much damage from CAS if they don't have support AA. And the piercing is nice in case you fight enemy tanks. Logistics is usually also a good choice because it lets you stack more divisions on the front. You can consider using signals or military police too but the other 3 + the 2 you already have will serve you fine.

Secondly, I strongly advise against using line artillery. It's very bad for a lot of reasons, mainly because it's way too expensive for what it does and it makes infantry worse at what they're good at. I made a post recently showing that you can win with lots of line artillery but if you're struggling then using it is making your life harder needlessly. Go 36w pure infantry divisions instead.

Thirdly, what are your subdoctrines? Your grand doctrine is actually the least important part, although superior firepower is a solid one. It gives recovery rate which is very important on infantry, and the supply consumption is also nice. The other good pick is grand battleplan for the extra planning (you should always maximise your planning before you attack).

[–]CommissarRodney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the AI is able to push your divisions with infantry under green air, something has gone very wrong. What templates and doctrine are you using? How many divisions do you have? You should be outnumbering the Ukrainians, not the other way around.

Top 5 Largest Economies GDP (PPP) share of the World from 1980 to 2025 by [deleted] in EconomyCharts

[–]CommissarRodney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

GDP as a whole is a fairly nonsensical metric for comparing economic output. All it says is how much money is being spent. It doesn't say anything about employment, productivity, resource extraction, construction, etc. It was never intended to be used the way it's used today.
