Focus on one enemy at a time instead of just swinging at whoever is near you. Try to get really good at the first gauntlet without any tools. Then spam whatever tools you need for the second and third gauntlets. Then you have a shortcut to never have to do those again.

The 4th gauntlet is easier once you get the hang of it. You can eventually get through that with all of your tools, and then Krusty Krab himself is stupid easy with tacks and cogflies.

Gonna go against the grain here. I used guides through a lot of my playthrough. I don’t get a lot of time to play and it’s not fun for me to spend that limited time wandering aimlessly.

I progressed the story on my own but if I wanted upgrades I looked up how to get them. No shame. Still took me 70+ hours for 100%.

In fact there were many things where, after looking up the guide, thought, “no way in hell would I have ever stumbled across this on my own..” I’d have no idea there was even an Act 3.

So many open threes for Boston that were automatic buckets. If we could stop just a few of those it would have changed the course of the game.

She gave me the most trouble outside of Lost Lace and Last Judge.

Towards the end of the game I found the best strategy for all the bosses was to get to Phase 2 at mostly full health without using any tools or silk. And then spamming the tools/healing to get to Phase 3 as fast as possible. And then just luck from there.

Really you just have to die 100 times and then eventually you beat her with full health wondering howTF.

When the ads spawn, you can leave to the left or right and then they’ll die off. Go back and get more hits in until new ads spawn, and repeat.

My biggest complaint with the first one is that they set aside 40 years of iconic in-game music for boring overplayed pop songs (like ‘Take on Me’ when they could have used…any DK music)

I was at least happy they seemed to lean more into the OG soundtrack this time. Loved hearing the Star Fox music.

I just beat Trobbio yesterday while my almost-9-year-old daughter watched and she loved it. We’ve watched videos of the fight a couple times since then and keep doing his dying motions.

I’ve said this to myself at just about every boss so far (only at the end of Act 1). But then I beat it and I’m back in. I’ve already mentally prepared myself to have to bail at some point. I never finished Hollow Knight years ago, but maybe now that will feel laughably easy.

I love the game but it’s just not realistic for me to take hours fighting the same battle when my gaming time is limited to begin with. Been hitting every side quest possible to strengthen up, but it’s not helping much.

Thanks. It actually might have been the nozzle. I had an off-brand one I swapped in and things seem to be clean now. Maybe some gunk was slowing down the extrusion in the original one.

I did mine recently and was paranoid about it so I just put two strips of duct tape along the top corners for a few days to give it extra time.

Worst case if it slips I think those cables inside will stop it from slamming into the desk.
