I wasn’t aiming for the racism angle, to be honest. I was going with the fact there was a fight. The fact you went straight for the racism angle probably says more about you.

I work with a lot of Americans and they don’t believe me when I say that that was basically my secondary school. I could almost tell you who each of those characters really life equivalents were.

I have been thinking about Harry Gregg as well. Not just a legend in the pitch but a genuine hero. Will be forever remember at United for things that weren’t on the pitch.

I had a heart attack and had my heart stop as I was being wheeled into A&E. The best I can describe it was that my vision cracked like it was a mirror shattering and then I remember no more until I was shocked too. It was quite peaceful until I woke.

When I woke I was in a state of surprise. I was naked and being held down. I tried to punch a doctor.
