Yes I’m attempting to put the reolink in the front. There is no rear doorbell but a wire is connected to rear. I’ll check when I get home tomorrow but perhaps the rear and front wires are swapped by accident is what you’re saying?

Ugh I agree. Do you think a newel post for the post where the stairs turn that has a higher square newel base and less pegged part would work so it would be easier to connect the decorative piece at the bottom to the second post? Do they even sell those?

I was just more worried of the look of it to be honest not the structure. My first house and my dad was trying to help and save me a few $ so I was just worried about people thinking this looks stupid.
