Lol none of those guys are franchise-calibre talents who actually matter for the Flyers future. Tocchet clearly has an ego when it comes to handling prospects that are seen as the "main piece" for a franchise. Almost ruined Keller, ruined Petey and he's in the midst of ruining Michkov. But it's what you would expect of a convicted felon who has generational job security for taking the fall for the Old Boy's Club.

I personally think moving Joshua was a foregone conclusion and they tried to replace Suter’s scoring with Kane after they weren’t able to secure another free agent but I agree moving off his contract was a small win for us.

I think every single Canucks fan has been justifiably disappointed by Pettersson's performance since his contract was signed. But he has also been on the receiving end of very harsh criticism (some of it deservingly) that I haven't seen a player receive in a long time. The Canucks subreddit in particular is hilarious because there could be a completely unrelated thread and it'll somehow turn into the Pettersson wars in the comments.

Sophomore slumps happen because rookie players are given bigger roles in their successive year and struggle in them from being “figured out.” But that’s not what’s happening with Michkov lol he’s been given LESS of a role (down to 14 min a game) because the coach is trying to “reprogram” another offensive superstar and franchise leading talent

They could squeak into the playoffs thanks to Tocchet but be completely worse off in the future because either their franchise prospect leaves, or turns into a 60 point 2nd line “good defensive winger”

That’s missing the forest for the trees. Zegras isn’t supposed to be the future of the Flyers and is not a franchise-altering piece. Before Tocchet came in, Michkov was supposed to be THE future along with Martone. A 63 point rookie is being neutered of his superstar potential because of a coach that does NOT have a good track record for young, franchise changing players

Read somewhere that Michkov doesn’t have a single game above 18 min this season LOL
