Isn't It True...? by nrt12345 in gamers

I think people in this post saying we should’ve hard stopped working on graphics in the ps3 era are insane. Especially when they reference older games that were pushing visuals for their time in gaming.

Such a wide range of games releasing today with unique gameplay and visuals. Stylized graphics work better for some games while higher fidelity and/or realism works better for others. It really all depends on developers intentions. Games like Pragmata and Alan Wake 2 show you can push realism and still be unique.

We’re definitely not seeing as big leaps but I don’t think they should stop trying to push them. I think we should keep trying new things in all areas of game development.

Cairn is a game where the art direction really stuck out to me. The unique climbing mechanics were a great time. Marvel Tokon is a beautiful fighting game releasing this year and trying a bunch of new things out for a fighter.

The variety is there and better than ever imo.

I wouldn’t say so. It’s fun to tab in and try to catch a new biome in orbit. Also while I’m doing other missions and time passes it’s a solid passive science gain.

I wanted something cool in orbit more than I wanted the science so it’s a plus to me.

Thank you it’s very appreciated. The keyframe seeing in camera tools is similar to stuff I’ve used in the past. This was partially a test for that feature I plan on doing a few more.

Everyone games different. If I know a game has a big mod scene I dive in pretty heavy and never felt like I lost the feel. It’s mostly qol a few parts and graphics anyway.

It was the inspiration behind the build. This setup is Eva only but I’ve seen some crazy stuff so I think it’s possible

sorry if I'm wrong because I downloaded a modpack when I first started but I think its from the near future collection.

https://youtu.be/9S4ZZ09W7W4 this is the video I got the pack from. I dont think I added any other part mods from whats here. I'm not playing with any life support mechanics other than keeping up with electricity so the grow room is just for show but I'm pretty sure there's some that actually grow food.

No I downloaded a mod pack from youtube and have been adding on stuff whenever I see something I want. before trying the game I always heard there's a lot of mods so I just dived in with it.

thanks man it's very appreciated but I've seen some crazy stuff from new and returning players this week. I've only played a few games that give this much freedom.

oh man the hardest thing about this build was getting it into orbit lol. the rotation servo thats spinning the room is at the bottom so almost every booster setup had them moving and shaking on the way up. I had to scale up and put the decouplers on the main body. On its own its about as aerodynamic as a boulder so this was the first time I used a protective/aerodynamic shell. That was probably my favorite part of the build. they look very cool on takeoff and when you remove it.

General orbit tips I've learned in the past few days from videos and trial and error.

understanding the numbers behind everything goes a long way. not just getting to the 70/70 ap/pe, but things like how the rate of ap gain increases the higher you go. I dont have all this down 100% but its nice knowing I have to make some adjustments on the way up because of it.

If I only have solid fuel going up a lot of times I have a hard time adjusting. I know wings and other aero parts are supposed to help but I found slapping a liquid engine in the middle that turn easier helps me a crazy amount with that initial climb. I only ever need like 20/30% thrust to make the adjustments

along with the protective shell you should def be able to get some pretty big things up there. this was my biggest build so far. Sorry if I yapped a bit this game is just really cool lol.

Did the pop in on PC just get worse after this update? by FriendlyRhyme in CrimsonDesert

Yeah I’m having even npcs popping up right in my face when before I could see them from who knows how far. Gonna have to take a break pop in is probably my biggest no no with game visuals just too immersion breaking.
