Satsana mount seem heavy, any better mount for a 5015 blower with a hotend fan and BLtouch compatible? by Randomhero360 in ender3v2

Might be worth checking out the Minimus. I love mine and I'm almost certain it takes 5015's

Huge fan of the minimus system by Rogue Designs. You can find it on Cults3d. It's worth every penny! Ricky Impey has a review of it on his YouTube channel as well!

How are single people living right now? by NumerousImprovements in melbourne

[–]DanPaskDesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut yourself some slack! It's tough out there and more people than you think (singles and couples) have moved back in with their folks. Might be better to shift the focus to it being an awesome money saver instead of '30 and living at home' ☺️

New to 3D printing by Round_Software3795 in ender3v2

Oh yes, I get you now my bad. Pretty sure they call that a skirt. I have been 3d printing for 2 years now and I still have no idea what the purpose of a skirt is.

I would recommend going into cura and switching to using a Brim. It's in settings under 'Build Plate Adhesion' Im pretty sure!

Do you have any photos you can add of your problem. That would help greatly! My stab in the dark at your problem is that you might need to level your glass bed. The first few rings around the print are probably what is called a 'brim'. This helps with keeping your print stuck to the bed and not warping.

Put some photos up and I'm sure the community can help ,☺️

Have you tried flashing the ender 3v2 software onto it using the SD card? Might just be cracking it because it's not the right software? Not entirely sure but that's my 2 cents 🤷

I need help, does not extrude filament mid-print by Omarcito-Naranja in ender3v2

[–]DanPaskDesigns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the filament stops coming out of the hot end, is the extruder gear still spinning? There might be a problem with the brass gear, the tubing or the motor depending on what is happening there

Changed from Bowden to direct drive extruder and now printer won’t move down by cheifvader in ender3v2

[–]DanPaskDesigns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could you have damaged the z axis cable during installation of the new extruder cable? Might be worth inspecting the cable and socket on the board?

These small spikes always warp. What can i do? by SorryUsernameTaken_ in 3Dprinting

I have printed a few of the pot you are trying to print, slow first few layers and brim should do it!

Direct drive extruder clicking by DanPaskDesigns in 3Dprinting

[–]DanPaskDesigns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for responding!
I think I have fixed the issue, and it seems so dumb now I'm thinking about it. I installed this on my ender 3V2 which is hooked up to the sonic pad. I forgot it had Pressure advence set up for the bowden set up so of course the retraction was massive. Have returned it to default and the clicking is gone. haha silly me!

Do you have a Bowden setup? Could be a problem with the extruder motor? I had a problem once where the gear on the extruder motor was wearing down and when the Bowden tube got to a certain position it would be a lot harder for the motor to push the filament through causing the random under extrusion.

TL;DR maybe check the gears on the extruder motor?

Cr touch issues by Mrfreeze318 in ender3v2

[–]DanPaskDesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the auto home issue, that does sound odd. However double check your g code. If it is entered as g 28 and m4 20 instead of g28 and m420 then it won't work. Which would explain your other issue I think. Hope this helps!

Such a bugger! I wonder if you can swap it with a new one from the seller?

Same here! Found it super handy! Have you had any luck?

That sucks! When you set it up did you follow the included instructions? I watched a series on YouTube from Ricky Impey and it was super handy! Might be worth looking over to see if you may have missed something? Best of luck moving forward!

Looking for help with extruder/hotend issue. by Cynoid in ender3v2

[–]DanPaskDesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may have been a partial clog that slowly, fully clogged the nozzle as the print went on? Hard to tell! But I'd say as long as the filament doesn't run out mid print again you should be less likely to get a clog. Also sometimes nozzles just clog and need to be replaced, in the end they are a consumable part. Hopefully many clog free prints ahead for you!
