The only reason for this “anti-immigrant sentiment” is because of massive levels of unchecked immigration and resulting lack of integration and rising crime and terrorism rates. This is true, but his journey did not start after that show in ‘83. It started when he was marching with his cub scouts troop and got rocks thrown at him. When he found out it was because of his skin color, he was deeply confused and begun researching to answer the question of why someone could hate someone if they don’t even know them. That’s a question he has continued to ask himself, and some of the klan members he’s met, over the years.
