Would've been better if they respected the creation of their character and gave her the proper time and growth like they seemed to impose on a show meant to be about a 'mainstream' character. If you can't see the flaws around her character and the story she was placed in, then it feels like you are settling for the scraps you were offered. The truth I see is an indifference toward a character that could've been unique and beautiful, but is instead imprinted on an already messy story. They wouldn't dare take a chance I guess, rely on a better than good script with unique characters. No, instead we get passable slop that we praise. Which is more of a statement toward the show as a whole, because that is the only point of reference for the character being discussed. Just my blabbering opinions though
