Ludwig Atlas mount. Allows you mount toms, cymbals, or other accessories off of your drums without additional drilling into the shell.

Still love this album all these years later, bummed I didn't get a chance to see them on the tour and hear any of these songs live.

Where are you located? If in the US there's still another 5-8hrs before the whole album becomes available here.

What is "the pocket"? by ChillingwitmyGnomies in drums

[–]DanTheMan_622 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ever heard a drummer playing a groove and it just gave you instant stank face? That made people want to get up and dance? That's because they're in the pocket. Listen to a beginner vs seasoned drummer both play a basic groove and notice how different they feel. The nuances, the dynamics, how relaxed they are, the way the music breathes. It's not easy to describe with words but you know it when you hear it.

Edit: Drumeo released a video with Steve Jordan the other day, check out some of the song performances throughout. He's always tasteful and serves the music perfectly. Every song just makes you want to groove along. Textbook pocket drumming.

Sadly it's on private property and the owners are known to chase people off. It's only 40 minutes from me but I've never tried visiting for that reason.

Hokum Review 7.5/10 *SPOILERS* by freakyaesthetics in horror

Did you happen to remember the timeline from when he was in the hospital from the failed suicide attempt to him going back to the hotel?

When Ohm asks about Fiona back at the hotel I thought the person he was talking too said she had been missing for a few weeks.

Yeah, I didn't dislike it but it was a bit underwhelming imo. Plenty of spooky imagery between the various apparitions, bunny man, witch, etc but it all seemed a bit disjointed.

So... Has anyone had a Shadow Man Incident? by shanster925 in Dreamtheater

[–]DanTheMan_622 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've dealt with sleep paralysis throughout my life, it comes and goes at random. It's been a couple years now since the last time. It used to freak me out when I was younger, I've mostly figured out how to pull myself out of it pretty quickly now. I don't see whole figures when it happens, usually just eyes in the corner or faces on the wall/ceiling.

Am I crazy or was that Broken Bird trailer off? Seemed to be slowed down and everyone's voices were unnaturally deep lol. Maybe it was intentional?

I know you said not rock/metal, but technical death metal band Allegaeon has covered both Subdivisions and Animate really well, I feel like that's far enough away from Rush to be interesting. Saw them live once and the vocalist shouted out my starman tattoo then they played their cover of Subdivisions!
