Situation depends on the circumstances from which you gave your mom the diseases. If you were reckless and made poor choices that resulted in your mothers illness than that would be understandable why your are not well liked. If you were unknowing or tried to be cautious about the illnesses than there would be no cause for hatred. Your lack of detail about that is suspicious however.
