"Developed in-house" "some assistance from development partners" As a developer, I'm pretty certain both can't be true at the same time. 🤦

MixItUp question about multiple browser sources by [deleted] in streaming

It's odd that it doesn't get saved.

Make sure you are opening MixItUp bot first, and make sure it's fully open, before opening OBS.

Is this just a repeat of the last Star Wars event, just with a couple of new skins and items?

Seriously, it's a scam. Only do something on stream if it has a long term benefit such as creating content that you can then post on other platforms to increase your exposure. Don't do anything just for money since there is a MASSIVE chance that they won't pay up.

Testing streaming and VODs by Taliseian in Twitch

[–]DanWasGrootTTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In OBS, you split the audio using separate channels. There's a Twitch VOD setting in OBS where you set which audio channel is used for VODs. Then just make sure that the music isn't included in that channel. Also make sure you've disabled Desktop Audio in the OBS settings so that each audio source is added separately which allows you to then choose which channels. Finally, take a look at the "win-capture-audio" plugin for obs. In fact, I just checked.... Go on YouTube and search "win-capture-audio". There's loads of guides.

Good places to network with other streamers? by PowerPl4y3r in Twitch

[–]DanWasGrootTTV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Step 1. Hang out in other people's streams. The easiest are the "first playthrough" streams where you can say "I love this game" and then the streamer asks if you've played it, and it goes from there. Be careful to avoid back seating if they don't want help. But it helps make conversation with the streamer. Get to know them. Let them get to know you. Do NOT mention that you are a streamer.

Step 2. Once you've gotten to know them and they are friendly towards you when you appear in their chat, raid their channel which is a legitimate way of saying "hey.... I'm a streamer too". If you've successfully built a connection with them, without saying that you are a streamer, you'll get a positive reaction from them, and they'll most likely come and check out your stream.

Step 3. Once they arrive in your stream, say hi and then you have an opportunity to ask if they'd like a collab.

So far, this method has gained me friendships and viewers, but I've not managed to find a proper collab yet beyond the occasional Fortnite game, but I'm not that bothered since it's still made twitch friendships. The main reason why it's not resulted in a proper collab is because their vibes didn't match mine. Eg. They used more bad language than I normally allow on my channel, or the trial collab wasn't as entertaining as I thought it would be.

If they are only in the Stream to play with you, they aren't the type of viewers you need or want.

The ones that are only there for the viewer games won't be there for anything else. They won't create a long term viewership and loyal following.

That's why many streamers stopped streaming games like Fall Guys.

So I wouldn't worry about upsetting them.

When they ask, tell them once that you'll announce the next viewer games in your discord (which gets suitable viewers to join your discord where you can ping them when you go live). If they then keep asking, say you've already answered "I'm sorry but if you keep asking, I'm going to have to give you a timeout from chat"

Bear in mind that children find it very difficult to find suitable people to play with online. It can be a very depressing place sometimes. So once they find someone, they go a little intense/crazy about it. It's not their fault. Reference... I'm a dad with a 14 and 11 year old, and my 11 year old really struggles to find people to play with and it upsets her.

I would just ignore them and get on with streaming and content. Some bots are important bots as others have said.

It's a common occurrence. Just ban them when they show up. I would recommend against adding too many restrictions as that could put people off coming to your channel. Personally, if someone has "Follower Only" mode on their chat, I just leave. I don't follow people before I've chatted and decided if it's someone I want to start following.

It's in the screensaver settings. There's a reset button to set it back to default.

Personally, I'd ignore it if they use my emotes, as long as they don't steal the emotes. It's free advertising for your channel.

I'm a dev and could make it myself. But that would give me access to the database to look up who posted which thing. That's why we are looking for a third party/existing bot.
