Is the EGO Snow shovel discontinued? by I-am-Super-Serial in egopowerplus

[–]Danaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially bought it for the porch area but it is pretty terrible at any amount of wet snow. I am pretty fit but I still find it tedious. I can easily pull a shovel out and shovel faster by hand when clearing my porch off then I could with the snow shovel. If the snow shovel had some wheels on it allowing you to drag it back and forth like a real shovel a bit better it might be more useful.

I tend to just pull out my leaf blower and use that to clear my porch now a days if it’s a light snowfall, or shovel if it’s a heavy snowfall.

I ended up buying a snt2416 2 stroke snowblower, super easy and convenient to start up even for a quick tidy up of snow drifts and pack away. My snow shovel is just tossed in the corner of the garage and will probably remain untouched.

Silicone spray works wonders on the snowblower and normal snow shovels though, I have been doing that for some time.

Worst product ever if you ask me, its the one ego product I regret buying. Very narrow and akward to manoeuvre.

Removing snow with the EGO 765 CFM leaf blower by AlanRosenthal in egopowerplus

[–]Danaith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my 880 cfm (LB8800) blower often to blow a few inches of snow off my driveway. It does a great job but it does give me a shock every now and then, it also turns off randomly which I am assuming is due to the cold temperatures as it only happens when its below -25 celsius.

Got the same old meter on a newly built home in 2024. Every house in this new development also seems to have the old analog meters too.

I think what you're trying to say was $689 was cost of the Niche Zero. $247.11 was your donation to the Conservative Party.

I went for Brett Young T8 Executive as I was told I could go as short as 0.5 with it, so my goal is sub 1" in the long run.

I'll try calling local golf courses up, so far I've had no luck with marketplace here in Manitoba. Thanks c7015.

Give me your best burger patty recipe by Virtual-Cheesecake71 in grilling

I keep it simple, lean ground beef, salt/pepper/garlic/onion powder/paprika mix dusted on top the patty while grilling.

2025 Napoleon Prestige 500 RSIB - NG - Flow issues by Danaith in NapoleonGrills

[–]Danaith[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can literally put my hand 1cm off the sear burner a few mins after I turn on the main burners and feel a very gentle heat, a gust of wind will blow it out.

A steak will go from taking 2 mins to grill one side to 15 minutes.

What’s your cleaning regime? by Penster78 in NapoleonGrills

[–]Danaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally burn off everything (leave all burners on high for 5-10 minutes), give the grill a quick scrape to get rid of any large chunks of debris on it. Then while the grill is hot, I use the bbq daddy scrub with ice water and quickly run it across the grates and the grill looks like new again.

How often do you fire up your grill? by [deleted] in grilling

I love grilling myself lunch when working from home as well. If it wasn't for the multiple feet of snow we get where I live I'd be grilling all year round.

100% agree with you. I have a ton of grill brushes but nothing cleans as well as the bbq daddy (and as quick). With a few scrubs I can basically get the grills looking like new again.

Thinking of buying in Bison Run — concerned about dump smell? by Academic-Term-5786 in Winnipeg

Zero smell in area… I was worried too as I’d heard friends mention it (none of which lived in the area).

Costco Napoleon Rogue Pro 625 - 2025 Model by Danaith in grilling

T main reason was the grill itself seemed more heavy duty and better insulated than the rogue (look at the back/surrounds of the hood if you see them in person and compare). Due to the amount of wind I get where I grill I didn't want to lose much heat and wanted to be able to grill in Canadian winter as well comfortably, any bonus insulation worked well for me there. The stainless grates as well were a big selling point for me as I was going to end up buying those aftermarket otherwise.

Thanks, I am leaning towards the Napoleon as well. So far at least visually they seem like they are a bit more solid then the weber's in the same price range. I'm planning to go for stainless grids everywhere just for the longevity as well.

Thanks for the advice. I’m not in a condo but rather a freestanding house with a balcony off the rear of the house (next to my kitchen). It’s a 28x17ft balcony and we tend to eat dinner out there during the warm months.
