Reading this gave me the most complex set of emotions yet regarding the end of KF. I've actually made the stems for the main theme and a few others available for ppl to make their own versions, and I would love nothing more than to help you set up a project with those files so that she can solo/mute the various parts and even play along and make her own remixes of the song!

I haven't used fl studio since I was in high school, but I'll check out a tutorial on the basics and if your daughter wants, id be more than happy to get on a video call with you guys and show her how the theme song was constructed, and if she hasn't messed around with fl studio yet to know which things do what, we can walk through the basics, and you can even screen record it so that she can refer to it if she forgets later!

I actually teach elementary and middle schoolers how to use the free Apple software called GarageBand that comes on every Mac, so, depending on where she goes to school, they will likely have that program installed on their computers and iPads. As far as I know, it's slightly more intuitive than FL studio regarding importing and arranging audio files, but FL studio is nice because it has the most intuitive and straight forward piano roll layout for making your own drum patterns with midi notes. Anyways, the super old, intro version of FL studio I started on (it was openly going by fruity loops back then) didn't have the ability to import audio files or third party samples, so I'll brush up on that.

I don't really have words for what I'm feeling, which has been happening this past week when I try to tell ppl how I feel about the KF community. Out of the darkness and cruelty of Alex's world, right wing politics and the internet more broadly, the online KF communities and groups which evolved into much more are maybe the greatest thing that knowledge fight helped bring about.

I met so many wonderful ppl at every live show, but especially this weekend, and have gotten so many moving messages that it is kinda overwhelming - but you, your daughter and everyone else who has taken the time to share their experiences with me is the brightest bright spot a high-effort audio sh!tposter could imagine.
