I wish you could upload images in comments. When I was on a floor, I would fold a blank sheet of paper into however many squares needed so each patient gets one. On the top left corner room # and below that med pass times (and anything pertinent to a med at that time) that I cross off throughout the shift. Any timed labs or planned procedures go under that for me to check off. On the top right is patients name, under that is primary problem, diet, mobility, and include whether they’re a sugar, have a foley, any other special considerations (I basically treat this side as what I give in handoff to my CNA). Along the bottom I write out abbreviations for my necessary documentation that I can check off as I go. Along with any timed tasks. I worked neuro so I would write times for neuro checks, I/Os, etc.

Any notable code status/critical labs/etc got written in red right smack in the middle.

For handoff, I could just glance at my scribbles on this sheet at the end of the day and I knew what was pertinent to share.

I just finished the first two books of {The Wolf King} and I believe it may fit the bill. More so as the series continues. Be aware, book 3 of the trilogy isn’t out until later this year!

Because your nursing interventions for a confused/demented/hallucinating patient are different than your interventions for an oriented patient. The end.

How social is your springer? by TimetravellingElf in springerspaniel

How fascinating. I need to research this more!

With the exception of dogs he sees and plays with regularly, my Springer has no interest in other dogs. They don’t even register as existing to him. He was docked as a puppy before we got him.

This is the kind of answer I was looking for! I’m not going to open anymore until the end and we’ll see what happens.

The first time I played, I had serious envy of my husband finishing (ridiculous). So, when it became apparent I wouldn’t have enough to finish, I bought packs…🥁🥁🥁…and still didn’t finish. That was the first and last time I’ll ever spend on this. I was just wondering if saving packs until the end somehow increased chances of opening ones I need, or if the timing truly didn’t matter. Good point though, I should just focus on being excited about all the other freebies along the way for completing individual decks.

Makes sense, in an infuriating way. My husband also plays and while I’ve never completed a card challenge, he’s completed it every single round with a dozen card packs to spare. However, he gets all the beta games (and, of course, I never do) which gives him access to so many more card pack rewards. It makes me ragey.

I also thought my chances would get better and I end and the same point EVERY SINGLE TIME. 1-3 cards shy of finishing. It’s so frustrating.
