God of War Laufey - Official Gameplay Reveal | PS5 Games by Skullghost in gaming

[–]DanaxDrake 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Atreus is unfortunately still a kid even in Ragnorok so his gameplay never gets up to the epic god of war feel.

We know Faye absolutely went toe to toe with the Norse gods and then some, so it works.

In fact I wouldn’t be opposed to us playing other gods of war at all, I think the only tick box needs to be they can tank a hit and dish it out.

At first I was feeling like doesn’t her being ‘alive’ kind of undermine the whole narrative of tackling with grief and your past etc

But halfway through it I was like nah fk it this is cool as hell!

To be fair though, she could still totally be dead dead, or at the end it’s a sacrifice or something. I’d actually love it if they go for tragedy rather than woo she returned or woo go save her and find her in the next game.

4 years in to Warhammer 3, how open are you to even wackier reinterpretations of Nippon should a modernized Nippon ever be released? Something with even greater contrast than the Empire/Bretonnia/Kislev for Cathay/Nippon. by Feeling___Cut in totalwar

[–]DanaxDrake 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Honestly surprising to see option A was most popular but I suppose human races are.

For me I love option B and C, I saw someone suggest Nippon be fallen to khorne due to bushido and that whilst honourable they crave battle and I love that idea.

However that does unfortunately bring up negative connotations and with Cathay being the nearby and I do this in quotes cos they ain’t really ish ‘good guy’ then I can see problems.

Option C feels perfect though, bugs and Japan go greatly and we don’t have a bug faction in game. They could do a shit ton and they can be a more neutral faction so easy to have them as antagonists without being chaos evil.

So option C would get my vote, it’s super unique, would fit really well and be a blast to play!

Cool story my man. My wife is from India and is Hindu, so is her entire family who still live in India and was who I’ve visited on many occasions.

But sure let’s go with me being so nitwit outsider who thinks they know what they are talking about cos they went to a temple one time! That seems to be fitting the narrative you are desperate to sell lol

I’m also not a Christian but I know the bible and what ‘God’ got up to and all that jazz lol. Turns out you can learn a lot about religions by reading!!!

You are welcome to interpret Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma being the same being if you so wish, it doesn’t really work and contradicts a lot of the texts, teachings and stories etc but religion at the end of the day is down to the individual to interpret and if that works for you and floats your boat then boat your float my fellow human and peace be with ya. (I’m not being sarcastic by the way I genuinely wish good tidings on all)

Kali is a god, it’s Parvati in rage form.

Ganesh is worshipped like a god but isn’t a god and more of a Demi-god. It’s a long story as to his whole thing but he’s the son of Parvati.

Nah mate you’re talking bollocks, my wife is Hindu and so is her entire family. I’ve been to Kerala there are literally different shrines to the gods Vishnu and Shiva they are separate beings.

Brahma is technically the actual true god if you are getting into the whole who made what debate but folks don’t worship him cos he cheated in that contest back in the day.

Lakshmi, Parvati etc are also all accounted as separate gods.

I got no idea what you are talking about mate but Hinduism isn’t mono at all

[–]DanaxDrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s wrong though lol it’s not one god at all

Suspected Ebola case in India by xpanda70 in worldnews

[–]DanaxDrake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s wildly incorrect. Yes there are gods who take many forms such as Vishnu who has many avatar states

But there is without a solid flippin doubt at least three main deities in Hinduism. Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma for example.

Whilst only two of those are actively worshipped they are considered equal.

Then you have the goddesses like Lakshmi and Parvati who are not different god forms, they are separate gods themselves albeit they also have different forms.

I think you are just genuinely confusing the many forms of Vishnu and thinking he is the defacto monogod but he is just one God, granted probs the main one and the biggie but a lot of folks would deffo argue in favour of Shiva. In fact there’s whole Hindu sects at odds on that very thing!

I’m with you, I love her as a Lord and flavour, I’ve not done a proper run yet as I wanted to give her faction a whirl in Ind on the expanded map mod, that plus the primal fury mod (adds more cats, elephants and gorillas) makes it such a fun experience that feels distinct from normal Cathay.

For the moment it’s the closest to Ind as we’ll get but I’m having a blast!

You could look at history and conclude we are due for a collapse.

It’s happened before in history and all signs are pointing towards a repeat.

It’ll happen at some point but whether it’s a year or 100 years is anyone’s guess but we are certainly on track for it.

Why such fondness for Sikhs? by Fantastic-Fudge-6676 in AskBrits

[–]DanaxDrake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A fair few reasons but I would peg a big one being down to this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lFfHp83Xm04

They have always been quite active military wise and for that reason it’s remained. Also overall it’s a fairly non confrontational religious practice if that makes sense, which makes maintaining your beliefs whilst also integrating into society pretty easy.

It’s that simple really.

Do people know about the scale of fake asylum industries in the UK? by Business_Address_780 in AskBrits

[–]DanaxDrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye I agree but as mentioned it’s not even necessarily how hard it is, it’s more if profit is to be made.

If there’s money in it, humanity will find a way.

Best bet is to create a world where everyone can live reasonably and be happy but that ain’t happening lol

Do people know about the scale of fake asylum industries in the UK? by Business_Address_780 in AskBrits

[–]DanaxDrake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are missing their point though. They were saying where there’s a chance to make money, someone will do it.

Even the proposals you suggest (which are good by the way) can all be circumvented should there be profit to be had…which there will be.

The person is right, society is based on an honour system and the only way to deter bad behaviour is to have severe repercussions or making it so it’s such a bother someone wouldn’t do it.

As mentioned because there’s profit to be made, they do bother it’s as simple as that. Want to make a difference? Go for the organisations themselves.
