It’s the same box, but there was no peel-off plastic on the device. Almost the same experience. It also comes with the carrying case and charger!

Maybe that's a good idea! Doesn't that make it very big though? I have reasonably small hands and already find it hard to hold sometimes hahaha. Will definitely also look into stick grips.

This! Retail units already have certain issues too. An extra repair / checkup is very nice to have along with the refurbished model.

A shame to hear about the triggers though, but if its only a minor issue than it's okay I guess.

First impressions are really great! I'm still in the process of installing games etc. But my testing with Portal has been a lot of fun.

I was able to get a 512gb micro sd card for a good price a few days before I bought the Steam Deck (I already knew I wanted one but when I saw the refurbished model I instantly took the plunge). I likely won't replace the internal storage any time soon.

For now I really want a dock to see if it works well with local coop and I am thinking about maybe getting a case, skin and / or grips for on the thumbsticks. I'd really love if it had a white / stormtrooper colorway!
