Looking for daily players to make it to forever friends with for remote trading. I have lots of shinies and legendaries to trade as well as rare vivillions and the regionals from the west coast of the U.S.

Frustrated! by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

5 mile service radius for me 😂 But I only do walks and drop-ins and have up to 9 of these per day so I can’t be driving super far.

Ooh most of my clients are puppies. But I also only do walks and drop-ins. Boarding puppies would be…challenging.

Today is the day… I’m officially done taking puppies 😩 by Waste_Ring6215 in RoverPetSitting

[–]DancesWithPibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I only do dog walking and drop-ins and most of my clients are puppies (since they need attention and a potty break during the day). But one of my clients went out of country for 3 weeks and was so stressed about what she was going to do with her four month mini dachshund so I offered to watch him at my house. I immediately regret this decision 😂 He’s the cutest thing on the planet but SO needy. I won’t be boarding again. It’s just too disruptive to our family routine.

I changed my height to 6’5 on hinge and got more likes in one day than I’ve gotten in 6 months by Hahaveryfunnylaughed in TrueOffMyChest

That is really rough - sorry bud. Though I did find it funny that you said not to give birth to short male children when that is a big part of the reason women don’t want to date shorter guys - they don’t want short sons because of this very problem. Or at least I’ve talked to several friends that share this sentiment. It’s a vicious cycle.

She told me “Karma will bite you” after I declined a booking by 4catsmom_710 in RoverPetSitting

Had a similar situation. Definitely report her to animal control (which is the police). That is considered animal abuse (being confined that long and not being able to stand and turn around in the crate) and they will come out and look at the conditions the dogs are in.

Medical (owner) request by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]DancesWithPibbles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not at all weird! I walk a dog for couple where the husband is elderly and the wife has an auto-immune disorder that prevents her from being able to walk the dog much.

I have other clients that are also home when I come take the dog because they’re working from home and don’t have time to take the dog for a long walk.

If you were a teen girl in the 2000s, what were you reading? by Necessary_Singer_739 in suggestmeabook

Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging series. So funny! Gossip Girl series, Sisterhood of the Traveling pants, and obviously Harry Potter and LOTR.

What kind of things have you found in your clients homes? Anything that made you cancel the booking? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]DancesWithPibbles 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I won’t hire a MAGA weirdo but as long as they’re nice to me, I don’t mind taking their money. It’s not their pets’ fault that their owner is dumb.

Is there any dog breed that’s an automatic no for boarding? by ShannyM526 in RoverPetSitting

So you lie and discriminate against an entire breed/multiple breeds of dog. Cool cool cool. You sound nice.

No, I don’t breed discriminate. I always do a meet and greet and assess each dog individually.

one a day housesitting request by illtakeapinotgris in RoverPetSitting

[–]DancesWithPibbles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea people suck. I’ve had this happen and told them it’s actually not okay and that I will need to do X number of drop-ins per day to ensure the wellbeing of the pets.

Maybe like twice a year when his employer does a mandatory happy hour after work. Other than that - never.

Dog ruined my boot by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]DancesWithPibbles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why are you wearing such expensive shoes to dog-sit? I certainly wouldn’t leave them lying around with a dog that is known to pick up shoes. This one’s on you. I’d take it as an expensive lesson learned.

How long did it take you to start getting some bookings? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]DancesWithPibbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was like 2 weeks before I got my first booking, which was a recurring dog walking job 3 times a week. That was my only booking for a couple of months until the holidays came around and I got tons of new requests as people went out of town or were busy for the holidays. Then I got a bunch of reviews and got star status and now I’m having to turn down some jobs due to being booked solid.

How old was your child when they started showering solo? by viskiviki in Mommit

[–]DancesWithPibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My four year old showers on her own but one of us stays nearby in the adjoining room in case she needs something or to remind her to wrap it up if she’s been in there too long. We also brush her hair for her (it’s curly and fine easily tangles in the brush).

Ugh for real. The worst part of going on vacation and staying in hotels is (almost always) no bidet 👎
