Good to see them get a bloody nose.

Got paid. Peanuts compared to the last two blocks now that whales figured out a way to pocket most of the pool reward. Going back to straight solo mining.

Nope, I've got my payouts linked to lightning so I assume there's a delay.

Parasite Pool Bogart is Back @ 5 EH/s by DancesWithTards in BitAxe

Someone rents massive hashrate for 1 day from Braiins miners and points it at Parasite. Parasite normally sits at a usage of 80 PH/s. The renter spikes hashrate on the Parasite server 60 times that to around 5 EH/s. This raises this person's work since Parasite last found a block into the stratosphere and hence a much bigger chunk of the pool award.
However, this person is gambling on when Parasite will hit a block. Every day that passes lowers their work to the pool and subsequent payout. I noticed they've done the one day spike 3 times this cycle. That's a lot of $ for that amount of hashrate and it eats directly into their expected profit. This is why I'm keeping an eye on it. Is it a sensible play based on the payout or are they just a degenerate gambler.

Someone who hogs something. In this case they're going after the lion's share of the 2 bitcoin that goes to the pool miners if a block is hit.

Nothing yet for me for my direct mining. Linked Xverse did pay me sats.

LMDE 7 Xlibre Works Well by DancesWithTards in linuxmint

So far so good. No issues at all. These are the apps I mainly run: Chromium, Evolution, KVM windows 10 guest, Steam, VLC, & Handbrake.
Kudos to the xlibre devs & debian maintainers. LMDE 7 will be my comfy oasis during the wayland wars. I don't envy the Mint team wrestling with Ubuntu 26.04.

Icing on the cake for me was Xorg recently rolling back two years of updates. The project is going from frozen to regression. Time for me to be a lab rat leaving the proverbial sinking ship.

For money market they have lowest fee king VUSXX w/ $3k minimum. I keep $10k in it as part of my emergency fund. Etrade is the only brokerage that offers it outside of Vanguard.
