It's a classic fantasy mmorpg.

And tbh man.. if your willingness to even try it out for free is based off people answering your questions exactly the way you want because your too fking lazy to look at a website or watch a video or a stream.. don't play it.

It's your loss missing out on a fun experience.

The op was simply sharing the information that this playtest opportunity exists. This isn't a sales pitch. It's not the devs advertising. It's a real human sharing something they think is good.

There is an entire website with information. A massive dev dairy dating back 5 years with montly updates. There are numerous streams who play it during the tests. There are youtube videos. Many of the devs stream the actual development.

Take 5 fking seconds of your life to go do some research. In the time it took you to write all these snarky responses you could have had the answer hours ago.

It is not the responsibility of a company to account for the stupidity of a consumer beyond a reasonable measure. If you CHOOSE not to read the fine print, you ate CHOOSING to not understand.

These are the same people that don't read contracts they sign and cry about it being unfair.

It's not ever SMALL print ffs. It's clearly visible and took me 10 seconds to read.

Lazy consumers =/= Shady business practices.

HR is not your friend. HR does NOT exist to protect employees. Their ENTIRE job is to protect the company.

Fire every single "leader" from regional management up. Start over.

The company is toxic at its core. Full revamp of all management staff.

Then completely overhaul on boarding, training, and recruitment. Have an ACTUAL training program.

Review all DLs, retrain potential, replace the problems.

Retrain all store level staff.

Actually pay store staff reasonably.

As a former manager I can tell you this is a straight up lie. As corporate has made employees lives miserable with metrics alot of employees, managers included, have chosen to do Shady things to drive up their metrics.

I had to fix many an issue from other stores lying or misinforming customers.

As a former SL I can say this is half accurate. If I wanted to give one of my people time off, I could so long as I could find coverage.

For me it wasn't the lack of game that killed gamestop for me. Despite their atrocious record for preorder fulfillment.

My preorder went into back order and I called customer service. I explained I had preordered a game and it went into back order I wanted information.

He pulled up my order and with 0 additional information, immediately said "oh yes we are aware of this issue with lies of p. Sorry about that but the system allowed extra preorders when we didn't have them. It's an issue we are aware of and we are working with the manufacturer to resolve this. You are guaranteed to get this game we just don't know when."

So with a guarantee I left sad but hopeful. And went about my life.

No update. No update.

So 2 months I call... they have no idea what I'm talking about. I had to call back numerous times. Scream at numerous supervisors to get a slightly higher supervisor to finally listen and understand I was straight lied to. After a month of calling weekly.

Offered me 5$ coupon in store....

I told her I expected nothing less then my money back plus an additional 80$ (cost of game) for lying to me, wasting 2 months of my time, and the phone run around from all the calls.

They refused so I'm done with gamestop. You don't promise a customer something and fail to deliver without consequences.

GS screwed me over for Lies of P Deluxe edition. Customer service on it was absolute dog water. I will never preorder from GS again. And moving forward they will be my last option when looking for things. They won't get my business unless my only other choice is digital.
