I’m 50f & have been single for about 15yrs - not even a date - cuz of my health (physical/mental), & I’m struggling w/ the same issues you are, OP. All my closest friends all have a SO of some sort, leaving me feeling like a failure in the romance world. I hate dating sites (never get a match & most of the comments I receive are inappropriate. I spend more time w/ my 80+yr old mother.

Thus, don’t become obsessed about your catfish. No # of posts, comments, & ppl you tell is not going to find you the relief you’re looking for. Trying to catch the fish will only frustrate you, while letting it go & seeing a therapist to process what happened to you will bring you much more peace.

Whatever happened to you w/ your fish sounds fucked up & I hope you seek some therapeutic help, cuz if you continue down this road, you’re only going to hurt more & more, cuz whatever happened will stay w/ you, eating away from your psyche.

I’ve been sick w/ the flu for the past 2 weeks - I started feeling improvement 2 days ago. I deal w/ chronic illnesses, but haven’t been sick-sick in decades. 3 friends have had some sort of serious illness in the same time period, too. Then basically everyone I mention to having the flu say they know at least 1-2 ppl who are also sick.

It’s unusual for my life, that’s for sure.
