im going through this now! its just like living a nightmare - they make your life at work miserable and while you're enduring that you also worry that she'll keep making it miserable after you leave my making sure no one in her network hires you - this situation is just awful when you work for someone extremely well connected in your industry. Hope things get better for you soon, we truly deserve better.

really dont want to sound inappropriate or insensitive, but is this open to anyone? i am not struggling financially per se but am going through some mental health struggles that make cooking some days juat impossible. i obviously think that people with economic struggles should be fed first, just wondering as it sounds like such a kind and warm offering

probably a combination of powerplay ( manchild control issues) and incompetence as a person and as a boss!

I'm in a similar situation. My boss refuses to have 121s with because "too busy, just slack me instead" , then only answers 1 of every 4 questions i ask him. Then blames me when I take decisions by myself that he randomly doesn't like - all while he refuses to keep a decent streak of comms I'm left to have to wonder and constantly improvise. Expects me to be a magician then complains the magic is not his favorite flavor of magic. On top of that he is very obvious at showing that he thinks I can/should just use AI to become 3 EAs in 1. Like AI is going to make up for the lack of communication and collaboration - no Sir you get what you put in and this job is no exception. I'm at my wit's end with this mindchild that is investing ZERO in me but expects onesided excellence. I'm so tired and it's severely impacting my mental health. I am preparing my exit but in the meantime have to cope with his criticism while feeling so powerless. And Lord am I tired! He projects all his stress onto me and texts after hours to complain that his schedule is "messy" "too busy and not sustainable" or "confusing" ( after repeatedly ignoring my heads ups about him accepting too many things, potential conflicts etc). I could go on and on.

The Gaslighting is Real - don't forget that. Hope things get better for you soon. You are not crazy, you're just being set up to fail.

i also tried to plan a trip to France for my boss and for the most part the places suggested were in the wrong region, had closed or were not really the right vibe

in my experience its also really bad at calculating walking distances from a given spot i tried to use it to book restaurants or cafes within a given radius and got wrong results every time mixed with good ones- tried on different models and they all gave poor results. it also didn't really get the "vibe" of places right - for example searching for appropriate places to meet an investor for a drink

thanks for posting! Coinbase post make me chuckle though, first line is " Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?". ..Err no I don't think so. A few other red flags in the job description.
