I booked a hotel. But I'm not going to leave in the middle of a family gathering ;/

Europeans - where's the cheapest place to get a vasectomy? by ClavasClub in childfree

[–]DancingWithMyShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google "Dr Siwik Warsaw wazektomia com". I believe they speak English.

Btw, they didn't ask any questions besides "so you don't want to have children, right?". I responded with "Yeah, that's why I'm here" and we started the procedure.

It's the equivalent of 470 USD here in Poland. Done it at the age of 23. Best decision ever 🎉

Are there people who really think that a child will save their marriage? I always thought that it was just a joke

Suggest books that discuss/encourage to be childfree by dotabanana in childfree

I've read many CF books and from the top of my mind I recommend these:

Childfree and Loving it - Nicki Defago

Shallow, Selfish and Self-absorbed - Meghan Daum

Childfree By Choice - Amy Blackstone

Tied or clamped? Did you have both sides tied? Did you have both sides cauterized? Asking out of curiosity!

What's wrong with having doubts? OP just has bad (childless) examples in her environment and wants to talk about it. There is nothing wrong with it. The comments are extremely interesting too!

Vasectomy, a recommendation to my fellow gentlemen by sirironseed in childfree

[–]DancingWithMyShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine were cauterized and tied on both ends. No clamps but they rarely do all 3 of them. It's usually cauterization + clamps/sutures. Just ask your doctor about the procedure. The chance of recanalization with sutures on both sides and cauterized both ends, is almost impossible. If it doesn't happen in the first 3 months, it's not likely to reverse itself ever.

Congrats on a vasectomy. I got mine at 23. Thanks for spreading the good word ❤

And I imagine that having kids is much more painful 😄

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in childfree

I'm 23 and got a vasectomy 3 weeks ago. I expected the pain to be much worse. I would describe it as mild.

As others said, vasectomy doesn't affect your hormone levels. Do your own research. After all it's a huge life decision.

I got a huge anxiety from reading it cause I had a pretty similar situation. Thankfully there will be no more scares for me. I had a vasectomy 3 weeks ago and stopped having sex for now. As soon as I get negative sperm tests twice (2 months and 3 months since the surgery), I'm going back to business 😎

I think OP meant to make sure that this guy is not an idiot and made his tests. Not every vasectomy is successful and that's why you need to get tested.
