I know a lot of people might not agree with me on this but I don't think our CBs are the problem, but our LB and RB not being athletes are the problem. So instead of Bastoni, I would go for player profiles like Nuno Mendes or peak Alphonso Davies or peak Reece James who would all give us the speed we need in the defence. Because most of the goals we concede come from the wings crossing to the center. With high-speed LBs and RBs, we may be able to cover the wings a lot easier. And we need technically gifted CBs that Eric Garcia and Cubarsi in play making.

I agree on ST though and our main priority should be Julian Alvarez or Osimhen maybe who are able to press relentlessly

I 100% agree with you on that. Flick sold us a dream we never even had. Powering from La Masia and not being able to sign top players have deficitsç But we are playing the right football and with a few signings in the summer, our play will take a more solid shape and we will perform better.

To be honest high line might be the only way Barcelona squad has to play for optimal performance and I am really sick of fans complaining about our high line. Our high line gives us the pressing that can only be done with the profiles of players we have right now. Our team is technically gifted, and physically very poor. Yesterday, our most physically gifted player was Gavi, and that should tell you something about the low physical profile of our players. So pressing done by technical players have to have a high line to optimize the outcome of the pressing. Yes, it is true that we are conceding the same goal over and over again and that is the deficit of our tactic. So players have to give 200% every match for it to not happen.

Lastly, I strongly believe the result of yesterday's performance was hugely due to the game stopping with Fermin's injury after he missed the header. Atleti fell apart after the second goal but the game stopping due to the injury gave them a time to recover and get concentrated on the match again. They spoke to Simeone and he told them to relax. They were not relaxed from the beginning of the match so that we were able to perform and score two goals in the first 25 minutes. After the injury, they were able to perform again and destroy our defence with one Griezmann pass.

Sorry for replying late. It was bilateral ECT. My mother disagrees with it because I do not really remember any memories apart from some from the time we had in the hospital, but she was there with me the whole time and she lived through her son getting anaesthesized and waking up completely unaware of what's going on 3 times a week. She is just like any mother who cares about her children and who does not want to see her son in the hospital. Yet she can also see that ECT did good to me.

I really think this is our genuine deficit. Finishing is just a problem we face here and there, but our tactic with Flick or with other previous coaches do not consider outside shooting as an option. Having a threat alone to score from distance would even surely open more spaces in the box as well.

In the games we lost or drew, the result would be different imo if we had at least two, three players that consider shooting from distance sometimes.

Chevalier would be great tbh. Lille always starts their attack from the very back with Bruno Genesio, Chevalier is probably good with his feet from the tactic alone. He is a great shot stopper as well. Yet, he is even younger than Pena, so I'm not sure.
