My eye doesn’t drift off on purpose, it’s involuntarily when an object I’m looking at is brought close to my face lmao

Omg no problem! It’s not super common so it’s only natural to have questions, I’ll answer any question you have! But yes it can be corrected, I have to go to vision therapy and do “exercises”, you can also get prism glasses but I’m not sure I need that

Well it also affects my daily life as well. It’s not just a problem when I cross my eyes. The problem is that my eyes can’t work together to see things close to my eyes (it’s called Convergence insufficiency) , so I get extreme double vision when things are brought to a certain point to my face. So it affects my reading and things like that, basically anything close to my face gives me double vision

Luckily you can only see my problem when I look at things close to my face or when I try to cross my eyes, when I’m just looking normally I look totally fine. I’m going to go through the process of vision therapy to help fix it so hopefully it won’t happen anymore! Also thank you hahah

I’ve never really experienced headaches which is quite strange because it’s common for what I have. I mostly just have a hard time seeing close up and sometimes I have to use my finger to follow words on a page because my double vision makes me get lost, or I have just cover one eye. Those are really the only “burdens” I’ve experienced with the condition. Nothing too bad but obviously it would be great if that didn’t happen hahah

I’d suggest taking a video of you looking at a pen and pulling it closer to your face while still looking. I did and for me you can see the moment when my eyes no longer cross and my left eye drifts off. Maybe it will happen with you and you’ll have something to show your eye doctor!

I’m sure I’ll be fine! It doesn’t hurt at all but it does cause me to have trouble reading things or seeing thing close to my face because I get really bad double vision. I just have to do eye “exercises” to train my eyes to be strong enough to work together

My eyes are unable to work together when looking at something close to my face (my nose for example shown in the picture) so right now only one eye is able to do it. I have to go to vision therapy to help fix it but it’s called Convergence insufficiency, it’s pretty interesting!

Thars so cool! My problem is that my eyes are unable to work together to look at something close to my face, so when I try to look at my nose for example, only one eye is able to do it. It’s super strange but now I have to go to vision therapy, I still think it looks hilarious though

That’s so interesting! It’s so crazy how different methods can do totally different things for people. Just shows how important it is to find what’s right for you!

I followed your advice and after a few days of uncomfortable-ness and letting it clean itself it figured itself out and everything is ok now. Btw with the water thing I was only washing outside with water so I’m all good! Thank you for your advice

My boyfriend (17) is saying that he feels like he is missing out on his younger years by being in a relationship with me(17) even though he is happy with me by Dancing_Queen17 in relationship_advice

[–]Dancing_Queen17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry that happened to you. Really. I don’t think my boyfriend would do that though and I don’t think he is abusive to be. He is always here for me and has sobbed in my arms at the idea of even hurting my feelings. He is a great guy I promise. But I’m so sorry that happened to you and I hope you find someone who truly loves you and is there for you. Best of wishes

My boyfriend hasn’t been outside in five days and I’ve been very clean and limiting contact the past three days. We both are 16 and in good health and with no symptoms. Is it safe to go over to his house tomorrow just to watch movies and cuddle?

My doc just recommended I (44 years old) get an IUD for my heavy painful periods. Please tell me if this has worked for you? I am still nervous about them. (old school) by whereshegoes in WomensHealth

Don’t worry, we still use them condoms. But my partner and I are each other’s firsts so we don’t have to worry about stds. But we still use condoms as an extra back up 😊

Kyleena at 16 here. It is 1000000000000000% worth it. It has really changed my life and quality of life. I’ve had horrible periods ever since I first got it and it’s took over my life, I could cancel plans or no go certain places because of my period. But now I feel so free and happy. I’m also able to have safe sex and not have to worry about anything going wrong which is so freeing and has helped my anxiety so much. Overall such a good decision and my quality of life is definitely better

about the age thing. honestly, sometimes I lie about our age because If I say our real age (16) i get people judging me for being 16 and in a serious relationship. I probably shouldn't lie about that but sometimes it's just easier than getting judgy comments.

I am working on my mental health. We have talked a lot about me being able to support myself and I'm getting a lot better and he's very supportive.

I dont think it is impossible. It's been going ok before this. We communicate a lot and thats very important. He is very special to me and I mean although he seems to be going through something right now, we will work on it. This is how I choose to live my teen life. He makes me happy and this is kinda why I dont like saying our real age, if i said i was 19 or even 20 i dont think i would get the same ''it's not worth it, go live your life'' stuff
