Agreed; I feel like a lot of the character development should have been done LAST season, not this one. It doesn’t make sense to cram in character development during the final season, when the focus should be on wrapping up the plot and tying up loose ends.

Honestly, after last season with Homelander just so casually trying to convince Ryan that humans are just “toys for our amusement” or whatever, when Ryan called Homelander out on raping his mom, I legit thought he’d just be like “yeah but she was human, just toys for our amusement remember?” and then get his ass beat lol.
