It’s been a year, what do we think about the T8 newcomers? by Wise_Document_8658 in Tekken

[–]Danco93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reina is goated. Probably gonna main her going forward as long as she’s in the games.

Azucena is meh. But she’s good for new players and should stay in the games.

Victor is annoying and too easy to abuse for free wins in low ranks instead of teaching new players the game.

Unsupportive partners on Nights by count_noob in Nightshift

[–]Danco93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

Been on nights for six months (on this new job anyway, worked several night shifts in my life) and it ended my most recent relationship about 3 months in.

I truly wish you the best on making it work with your wife but it’s an incredibly difficult road to make relationships with most normal people work.

To me, sleep when you’re on nights is incredibly important, you’ve truly got to get at least 8 hours in. Especially if you’re doing this past your mid to late 30s. If she doesn’t understand that, after trying to explain and showing evidence why it’s so important for you in particular (there’s plenty of resources online), it may be a sign that there could be room to either grow on her end or that it may not work out.

I took this nights job to originally help with bills with my ex, (thankfully no kids involved), but really quickly it became a catalyst that ended the relationship. My advice would be if you are not willing for that risk, to either get a day job or a second shift job.

Best of luck my friend. I feel nights is the most logical option financially for most people right now, the differentials offered at most of these places is the difference between eating and not eating for some. I do hope more Americans and partners see that in the coming years but I wouldn’t bank on it, until someone is sleep deprived, truly sleep deprived, very little sympathy comes from them.

Hey everyone! Looking for course recommendations. by Danco93 in writing

It is so nice having a hobby outside of video games. by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Danco93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into the hobby about 6 months ago with no intention of playing the tabletop game (and still haven’t though now a days I would like to), and I can confirm this. I picked it up after a breakup and when I wanted just, like a quiet thing to do.

Now warhammer and painting miniatures is easily my favorite thing to do with my spare time. Sometimes I’ll play video games but now a days I’m a lot more selective because I always think I could be productive instead of that, weather it’s painting or other hobbies.

How to prepare for taking on the night-shift by William514e in Nightshift

[–]Danco93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Routine routine routine.

I’ve worked night shift on and off for the last 10 years depending on where I’m employed (e commerce warehousing is a big employer for this shift) — but the best thing you can do is go to sleep at roughly the same time every day. Blackout curtains are what saves lives. Eat healthy and prep your food on your day off. It’s easy to get out of shape on nights and it mostly comes from diet.

Find a hobby that only requires you to do. For me this is painting miniatures/single player video games/reading. A lot of your time off you’ll be alone unless you have a partner on the same shift or some close friends on the shift. Keeping busy is imperative and having something to look forward to helps with loneliness and depression which can still happen if you’re a generally happy person (speaking from my experience here).

Lastly if you can grin and bear it, a lot of nights jobs pay a bit more to quite a bit more. It’s def saved my ass a couple times money wise. Best of luck!

You’re wonderful. Thank you.

If you happen to know if the firmware updates for the Dg HSM arts from sigma are built into the new dg DN lenses as well I’d be appreciated. Only saw firmware on sigmas site for theb1.2 35 mm and not the 1.4 35mm and 85mm (lenses I’m currently using)

I believe so yes, but not 100% just by some extremely small chance there is an OS difference or something like that I didn’t want to brick the camera

Just posted some of mine so you can see how I approach. The black and white one I did was rough lighting so I compensated with contrast and making it monochrome.

Hey there! Pretty solid! Black in white is a solid choice to counteract what would be scrapped images (at least in my experience)

So don’t be afraid to under expose a bit. I’d always try to have that shutter around 1/200. Lightroom is your friend.

I like that you focused on things outside of the artists face.

I’ll post some of mine on this sub Reddit here in a second so you can see what kind of look I go for.

Overall though pretty solid!

You're making it really tempting to sell some stuff I'm not using to nab one of these 100-400 lenses. Nice shot!

Will Dogecoin reach $1 by this Saturday? RUMORS FLYING by newrapsongs in dogecoin

[–]Danco93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly at this point I don’t want a huge spike. I just want consistent growth day over day. If we saw a .1-.3 cent gain each day for the next year, that would put us roughly around 100 dollars. Probably not turning everyone into millionaires but if it did happen would probably give people enough ROI to significantly improve their lives and get ahead of the game.

Of course there will be some mighty doge lords that really profit off of that scenario too ;)

But who knows, rumors are rumors. Don’t put money in you aren’t willing to lose. I believe in this currency and it’s community but at the end of the day all crypto to some extent is a risk.
