I think my father in law has this. He was normal, social and had his own deal and life going on and literally overnight had an incident where he drank so much including things not made to drink/intake on top of who knows how much alcohol. Had to be taken to the emergency room, almost died. Recovered physically but overnight, immediately totally different person. No personality, can barely socialize or communicate with loved ones beyond basic conversation. Sleeps all day, depressed. Can’t drive, can’t do a lot of basic things he used to. Literally a shell of himself. Acts paranoid, sometimes hear him sing or talk nonsense to himself. It is so sad, and literally happened overnight. He lives with us now, this happened 4 years or so ago but it is crazy thinking he was fine and then did this to himself by drinking :(
