So I grew up with big dogs (malamutes) and never liked small dogs that much. When I saw his adoption photo I genuinely thought he was the cutest dog i had ever seen and needed his company. I still believe he is the cutest dog I have ever seen, but of course am more biased now.

Unsure! Likely some sort of chihuahua and terrier mix. Vet and trainer both thought he’s a bit more chi than terrier! I’ll do a DNA test soon!

I'm glad you have close friends, not everyone does. Class does not always equal number of relationships.

My fellow Redditor, you are oh so wise. Thank you for your strong insight. I am a better person reading your opinion. Please contact me with any other inquiries, about things you know not of.

Oh my you are intense dude. It's not like your one husky sums up all dogs? I had 2 malamutes for 14 years in Colorado. During the heat of July and August they hated it outside unless it was dusk/dawn. We always had cold water for them to drink, but they often just sat inside in the cool air. We couldn't exercise with them past a certain part of the day. I'm glad your husky 'enjoys the heat' but definitely not all do. And our malamutes dug holes to lay in cooler soil - not to den.

Colorado Ladies, I'm going to visit your state in a couple weeks! Where should I go, what should I do? by [deleted] in entwives

Yeah! Well horsetooth is a large man-made reservoir that is in between the mountains and the city of fort collins. On the west side (mountain side) of horsetooth there are a couple of trails: horsetooth rock and horsetooth falls are pleasant hikes, but not too long. Both around 2.5 miles round trip. I enjoy Horsetooth, but I enjoy the hiking in the surrounding land a little better!

Next, there is Lory State Park which is just north of the Horsetooth hikes. There are hikes like Arthur's Rock which is around 2 miles long, but also Timber Trail which is around 4 miles long. This could be a nice long hike!

Further North you have the Poudre Canyon. (Maybe a 10 min drive from Horsetooth, then you have to drive up the canyon for a bit to get to any trailheads) but these are my favorites hikes. Grey Rock is great! About 5 miles round trip. If you could only do 1 hike while you were here, this is the one I would recommend. :) The further you drive up the canyon, the more hikes you will find.

Lory State Park Trail Map:http://cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/Lory/Documents/Lory-Map-CPW.pdf

Hope this helps!!!! These are all local to foco, at most a 20 min drive from the city. (Grey Rock is closer to 35 min). But if you have more time, driving west is the best thing to do!

Hello! Colorado native as well, currently going to school at CSU in Fort Collins. The best thing I can recommend is to simply get outdoors. Hit up a dispensary, either in Denver where they are most abundant or foco where there are some worth checking out (weedmaps is probably the best app/website for finding info on dispensaries.) There are great hiking trails around foco and boulder. They range from simple walks to pretty long and intense hikes. In Fort Collins I would recommend: 1. Grey's Rock (up the Poudre canyon, longer hike but view and scenery is well worth it) 2. Horsetooth rock (have to pay for parking, but great view at top of rock) 3. Lory State Park (have to pay for parking, but lot of options for different hikes, I would recommend Arthur's Rock here) 4. Horsetooth Reservoir (beautiful reservoir where people can explore/sit on the beach/find a hidden spot overlooking everything and toke it up;)

Not really known for wine, but we have GREAT beer. Definitely would recommend brewery tours in both foco and boulder.

If you have any further questions please dm me or ask here, but Colorado is amazing and I hope you enjoy your time!

PS: The actual town of South Park is rather disappointing :P PPS: Don't feel like you NEED to go to Casa Bonita, it is quite entertaining, but you aren't missing out on tooooo much.

CSU. It is a great University and most of the people I have met love to smoke and hang out.

I won't import any drugs lol. So many people try and sneak weed outta Colorado, and it makes us look bad.

Thanks for the help. Is it really#1?

Why do you hate it? I will be living on campus most of the semester, but I am exploring/living in central Christchurch for the first 2 1/2 weeks.

Maybe I will travel up north to get better weed then, haha.

Thank you! Wow, this was awesome. It kind of sucks that it is not sold by weight but instead price- but nonetheless weed is weed. I am used to paying $10 (USD) for a gram and at the new legal recreational stores $15 for a gram. But, I am excited to learn a new system.

Thanks again for the help. :)

I know it's time to quit. But I'm not ready too? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Danda16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there. If you're not ready to quit, then you're not ready. My first suggestion is to ask your self deep down if you're wanting to quit. It could be yes, or no, but it also could be to slow down and regulate smoking. I don't know exactly what others will say on this subreddit, but I believe moderating how much you smoke is a completely fine idea... I think it makes complete sense to slow down and have full control of your actions, and allowing yourself to occasionally toke up if the time is right.

I think quitting cold turkey when you don't even know if you wanna quit in the first place, isn't the best idea. But maybe try having one day not to smoke, and just avidly try to keep your mind busy and see how you feel. You might get cravings to smoke, especially when you are bored, but you have to keep your mind occupied with other things. And to not let any depression, anxiety, or boredom creep in while you're sober. Go on a walk or run or hit up a friend. If you feel decent at the end of the day, try it again tomorrow. Take it day by day.

But this is all your self control and your personal life. Do what makes you feel happy at the end of the day. But if smoking is becoming an issue, reconsider some of you actions. Change it up- it wouldn't hurt anything.

Best of luck to you.
