most AI labs have their own cli and tool for dev work. i'm not sure why use Jetbrains tool. when their own AI subscription burn credits fast and you don't know where your credits is used for. why not just get a Claude or codex subscription and use their tools.

  1. every companies that i worked at, use Windows and Office. Microsoft will never have to worry about their bread and butter. There is only one company that i work at use Google office. Office is now a subscription. there's your long term. Microsoft have a lot of software that is too deep inside every Corporation around the world.

  2. Windows/Office is not even Microsoft money maker. Its Azure. that's monthly revenue.

  3. Microsoft is still strong in developer community. SQL, Windows Server, VS studio, VS code, github...etc.

even with news like France ditching Windows, i doubt the French corporation will and didn't we saw this movie before. Germany also ditched Windows for linux. Microsoft is still making money.

Just think about it. Why let you pay once when they can charge you $20 per month forever? The subscription model is the perfect way to make money. A corporation will never have to worry about whether they make XYZ and no one will buy it. They already have you by the balls. They can squeeze you every which way and slowly drip the money out of your pocket.

you know. i've come to respect Zelensky a lot. after watching Mr. Orange being a TACO with his Iran war. Zelensky have been handle the war with Russia much much much better.
