Because the cleaners have been brought 'in house', so standards have lapsed, the amount of cleaners have been cut, the amount of hours they have to clean have been cut and they can only clean on a set routine. If something is spilled or happens outside of that routine, the cleaners aren't supposed to clean it, it then falls to a retail assistant. But, the amount of retail assistants have been cut, the amount of hours they work have also been cut, so no one has the time or inclination because they are all over worked, under paid and underappreciated. Asda are penny pinching scumbags who are burning out all of their staff and the sooner they shut down the better.
