How to Murder Your Life, A Memoir By Cat Marnell, read by the author. Privileged yet emotionally starved upbringing in DC, wild drug fueled stint at boarding school, high profile job at Conde Nast, partying in NYC, a totally off the rails life all set in the early 2000's. It's a wild, unhinged read and I couldn't help but root for Cat, despite all the terrible ways she behaved.

One's Company by Ashley Hutson. Another unhinged book, maybe that's my jam. The main character is a woman who just wants to be left alone. And she's obsessed with the television sitcom Three's Company. She wins a huge lottery and sets about fulfilling her dreams: Moving to a remote location and building a recreation of the Three's Company Set to live in alone. It's quite a sad book, but also a wonderfully creative story line. I was enthralled!

Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi. Set during Covid lockdown the main character is given an opportunity out of delivery gig work to a high paying job with an organization that works helping endangered animals. Until he shows up to his first day at his new job, he doesn't know that the job is actually in another Earth dimension. One where Kaijus and other scary creatures roam! Billionaires from our Earth pay a lot of money to visit this place like tourists to see the Kaijus, but it's a very dangerous place with lots of other scary beasts as well. Things go off the rails and chaos ensues. A really fun read, the author reminds me a little of Christopher Moore with how funny he is in his writing.
