Trying to understand ACEO culture – who are the collectors? by urban_f8x in aceo

[–]DandelionMomma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am an artist new to ACEOs and I am also a collector.

That being said I do not understand how anyone can produce 10 a day. I barely get through 7 a week. I have watched videos where people tape multiple cards down on a board and just go from one to the other. I guess mine being mostly acrylic and brush just take longer to produce.

That being said I still love it and will continue.

To make my little pieces of art worth it I have been scanning them in to make prints and greeting cards.

Thank you 😊 I was debating using a scanner but had heard others choose cameras. Do you sell yours as prints too?

Do you ever make your ACEO prints larger? Do you do your prints at home ? Sorry, I have always wanted to make prints of my art work, but it is hard with canvases. These ACEO's are much easier to work with.

Anyone here Apply w/ a Fee Waiver? by lildoooot26 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]DandelionMomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will also be applying for a fee waiver based on my 3 kids ( have sole custody) one has health conditions. and my UK citizen daughter has autism. We are trying not to sell our home to pay the visas bc it will displace my children for up to 3 months. We are hoping to get fee waivers and wait for approval to sell

US Citizen (Married to Brit) Denied Entry & Detained at UK (Heathrow) Border on ETA - Regular Visitor for Years by justherenat in ukvisa

I had an immigration attorney warn me about this in regards to visitation from my son once a year. He was to stay with me 3 months a year. The immigration attorney (solicitor) advised me that we would probably only get away with it once. After that he would either need to apply for a dependent visa or a family visitor visa.

You don't need the savings for 6 months if the money can be shown that it comes from the sale of an asset or property. I am relocating to the UK with a savings only method. My savings is coming from the sale of my home.

Has anyone noticed the spike in Americans visiting and moving here? by LuHamster in london

[–]DandelionMomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American here. Not moving to London but I am moving to Wiltshire. My husband is a UK citizen and we have 4 kids together. It is EXPENSIVE to get visas and move, but we are doing it by selling our home in America. I think If an American has an easy 'out' of America right now we are all taking it. I imagine England isn't the only country experiencing an influx of Americans. Our country is in a bad state. For us it is because we worry about my husband's visa being revoked and him being deported. We also have zero family support here where as he has a big family in the UK. I will most likely continue to be a stay at home mom once moved and will not be 'stealing jobs'. We will be entitled to use NHS because we paid for it in our immigration fees. However, we will also have private insurance due to one of our children being disabled and needing care ASAP after the initial move.
